What Others Say

For the last 3 1/2 weeks I have been, and continue to be, interested in purchasing a 2023, not a 2024, XC60 Recharge Plus Bright from Volvo of Savannah. I have been assisted in my buying process with Emily Walker-Veloso and Michael Cashwell from the Internet team. Both have been fantastic in helping me to identify the correct vehicle and to work with me throughout the process. Unfortunately I have not received very much support from the General Sales Manager Walter. I do not know his last name and after 3 1/2 weeks of attempting to negotiate a purchase of this vehicle I have never spoken to Walter or received an a mail from him expressing his interest in selling me this vehicle. As a customer I am extremely disappointed in this customer experience based on the lack of interaction with a General Sales Manager who supposedly wants to sell a car. In addition, Walter decided to include the Volvo Incentives in the Dealer Discount after I asked for the discount, making the discount appear larger than it actually was, to be calculated separately to be able to compare deals. Perhaps Chris, who I am aware of from northern VA when I lived in Warrenton, should be aware of this customer experience. This is a vehicle that my wife really is interested in, as you can tell from 3 1/2 weeks of attempting to make a purchase, or I wouldn’t waste my time with this dealership. It seems that if you really want to sell a 2023 vehicle when the 2024s are already available you may want to try a little harder. Also I have been made aware that leasing a 2023 will not be available after the end of November….Chris if you really want to sell a car please let me know.

I purchased a used car from Volvo Cars Savannah. The car was modified with a roll bar and all pictures on the web masterfully left out the roll bars appearance, additionally the lengthy description on their web site never mentioned the car was modified. Even after a number of phone calls with the salesman about my concern for originality, proper documentation, service records and insuring all the original parts the car came with were still with the car, I was never told the car had been modified. I can clearly say that had I known there had been a roll bar installed I would have never pursued the car or any car that I felt had been tracked or raced. I had the car shipped to WI and discovered the modification when it came off the truck. Since the delivery I have had multiple e-mails and phone conversations with the dealership. Having purchased the car and having it delivered I had the roll bar removed ($2,100) and at a minimum I wanted reimbursement for the removal of the never mentioned modification. I initially went through the salesman, he had no success with the management. I attempted to contact the owner Ralph Tolman, got his son in law Michael McIntyre and he essentially said not our problem. This to me is the example of deceptive practices and possibly fraud, also a shameful practice and a total disregard for the customer. The only sign of any concern came from the salesman himself (David Sigg) which offered me $1,000.00 from his own pocket.

I test drove a 2012 Ford Explorer limited white and noticed the driver side mirror was broke and the rear end leaked. I asked to have them fixed, they said they would reduce the cost of the car by $400 because that's all it would cost me to get the car fixed. I asked if they would just fix the issues, they got a price to fix the issues, they then came back and said it cost $1500 to fix the issues and they will not fix them they are going to sell the car as is on the lot. They lied to me about the $400 and now are trying to sell the car to someone else as is. Not trustworthy, I would not do business with them.
