What Others Say

Thompson was excellent with my order up until the moment I arrived for paperwork and financing. Then they started dragging their feet, made me come back days later and blamed me for it (I'd agreed to finance; the general manager said they "expected" me to come in with a check) and then, when I returned on a work day, they made me wait for upwards of an hour with no explanation. The sales manager Jim was needlessly defensive, but the worst was the finance guy, Mike. I've never dealt with anyone less communicative, less outwardly caring, less willing to explain anything, with no apologies for any of it. It's been more than a month since my purchase and nobody has called me up to ask how I'm liking the car. I hoped I could go back to Thompson for service, but this entire experience has really turned me off the dealer.

Bought a new 2022 TRD Off-Road 4 runner from Thompson. I have to say it was the best buying experience ever (and I have personally bought over five new 4 runners in my life time). Julian was my salesman and he was the best I can ever recall with regard to a buying experinece he always followed up to make sure I recieved top shelf sales . Here is where it all went wrong ; after owning my new 4 runner for less than a year I had a few big issues with it (which was very surprising since I never had an issue before with any of my 4 runners). So I take it into service for a braking noise issue. They tell me they can't find the problem and this is normal. After several attemps and after getting Toyota's corporate rep involved they finally located the problem and fixed it under warrentee. All of this back and forth could have been avoided if they just communcated with me better. For instance, I refused to pay a $300.00 diagostic fee for checking my brake module issue because no one ever explained to me that they charge for diagnostic work even when your truck in still under warrentee. Had they told me that I would have understood and been prepared to pay. The service writer never mentioned this charge would not be covered. It was not until the service manager got involved and Toyota corporate got invoved did i understand they don't cover diagostics. I still don't understand why they charge for trying to locate a problem on a new truck that is a legitimate problem but thats another issue for another time. I like everyone at this dealership and am a lifelong Toyota brand buyer but I am dissapointed now because when i return to service they treat me differenly and I can feel the tension in the air when i go in for service. This to me is sad result ; I am one of the easist going people. Because my new Truck had a few large "odd problems" ( hard to diagnose ) I feel like I am taking the brunt of this bad experience instead of someone at the dealership reviewing this and training people in service on how NOT to make this mistake again. Apologizing to me is all it would have taken. Instead the dealership (service is making me the bad guy) Not the way to treat a customer who has spent over $200,000 on new Toyota's. Here is the bottom line: Would I buy from them again ? YES , Would I service my new truck there? Probably not. They can do so much better with a little customer service training. The End.

This dealership is corrupt! I introduced them to a special model being produced by Toyota well over a year ago. I spoke with a Sales Manager, Paul Hagen, who knew nothing about the vehicle. I offered to put down a deposit, but was told by him that they would not take deposits until the Model number was known. I brought the dealership and Paul Hagen the Model number and pricing sheet the day it was released, and got what was supposedly the first Vehicle Buyer's Order for that car that same day, signed by Mr. Hagen. Later, when following up on the vehicle, another sales person claimed to me that I was "6th on their list", so I went to speak with Mr. Hagen. After a brief discussion, he assured me that I would be the first person contacted if they got one of the vehicles. The dealership was allocated that vehicle today, May 31'st... and now they're reneging on the agreement. I contacted the Sales Manager, Paul Hagen, who said he'd "check on it." When he called back, he claimed that it was being sold to "someone coming in", but wouldn't confirm whether it was a customer or someone associated with the dealership, and then claimed he "knows nothing about it." He also claimed that he never told me that I'd be the first in line, nor that I was the frst Vehicle Buyer's Order created for the vehicle. Paul Hagen is a liar, and this dealership should be avoided at all costs!

Sold me a heap of crap. Have had nothing but problems with my vehicle. Would never buy another car here again. Dealer offered little to no help with resolving my issues.

Thompson Toyota is an excellent car dealership. Pricing is fair and transparent. No surcharges due to supply chain issues. The sales people and finance people all possess a level of professionalism and sincerity unsurpassed by other dealerships. we highly recommend Thompson Toyota and the other Thompson dealerships. Yesterday we bought a Toyota Highlander from Thompson Toyota of Doylestown. Our sales person Jim Ogle was very professional, and Mike from the business area insured a seamless closing. both had our best interest in mind. Last year we bought a Lexus from Thompson Lexus and had a similar very positive experience.
