What Others Say

I took my car in for a check engine light. The service writer told me that the tcv needed replacing and it was covered under an extended warranty because it was a known issue. I picked up my car and even more lights were flashing on my dash. I went right back in and I was told that now the problem is the dynamic control sensor which was caused by me being late on an oil change two oil changes ago. They told me now I need to pay to get the oil flushed and changed, and I need to make an appointment and come back, meanwhile I get 15 MPS (usually 28) and the car runs awful. No one was helpful explaining how it was fine before they changed the oil. I do not recommend this service department

Our green Forester was rear-ended and totaled. Everyone walked away achy but without a scratch. The cop on the scene, the body shop and the insurance adjuster all said the same thing as if they’d rehearsed it. "Good thing you were in Subaru". Two days later we bought the last 2025 Forester Touring in stock at the time (Subie number 8 for us). We got a GREAT deal. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. Thanks Lenny, JT, Jacob in service, JR in finance and the whole crew.

If service is important to you, this is the auto dealership for you. . Grandkids car seat got stuck in the seatbelt of our Subaru Forester.

Made a trip to Gerald as they had a pre-driven Subaru that we were interested in buying. We came to buy, but left emptyhanded. We checked before we left home, and the car was still available. By the time we got there, it was gone. We were told they had a very busy weekend and sold it on Saturday. I sincerely believe the car was never available, and this was an example of false advertising or bait and switch. We attempted to work with a sales person on a new vehicle instead, but he was terrible. Unenthusiastic, lacking knowledge, and just didn't seem to know what he was doing. I can't even remember his name, so not a good experience. We ended up purchasing a new Forester from another Subaru dealer that same day!

We just bought our sixth Subaru from Gerald and for good reason. First, Subarus are in my opinion the best car out there. Consumer Reports got it right. Everyone at Gerald has been fair and professional. J.T., Lenny and Jacob are our trusted advisors in all things Subaru. They build each customer relationship on honesty and expertise. Gerald's philanthropy in the community is expiring. They support organizations such as Little Friends, Hesed House, West Suburban Humane Society and others with commitments in the tens of thousands of dollars.

I was not looking forward to the whole new car buying experience. I was very pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. Leticia Sanchez, my sales consultant, was simply outstanding. She patiently listened to and answered my many questions, and explained all of the many features on the Crosstrek. It was a true pleasure working with her. The price of the car was fair and it was definitely worth driving in from Frankfort, even though there are several Subaru dealerships closer to me than Gerald.
