What Others Say

I had a very disappointing experience with this Hyundai dealership/service department. My vehicle had a serious issue very early on with extremely low mileage, and the way the dealership handled the situation made the process much more stressful than it needed to be. Communication was poor, updates were inconsistent, and I had to constantly follow up just to understand what was happening with my vehicle. While the vehicle was out of service, I had difficulty getting clear support regarding a loaner or rental. I also had issues obtaining service records and documentation, which should have been provided clearly and without unnecessary pushback. At one point, instead of feeling supported as a customer dealing with a serious vehicle issue, I felt pressured and treated unfairly. There were also statements made about reporting matters to the police, which I felt were unnecessary and made the experience even worse. The vehicle was eventually repurchased by Hyundai, but the overall dealership/service experience was extremely frustrating. The lack of communication, delays, difficulty getting records, loaner issues, and the way I was treated made the entire process far more stressful than it should have been. My advice to anyone bringing a vehicle here is to document everything, ask for everything in writing, keep copies of all service records, and follow up constantly.

Bought a 2026 Hyundai from Plaza Hyundai we agreed to a price and an excited Bill of Sale was signed on both sides. The Bill of Sale listed all taxes, fees, registration that was to be paid up front by me. Nothing unusual You know the usual on purchased of any new vehicle . And you think that would be it. But after close to 7 weeks of not receiving the my DL or registration nor an items that was to be on the car and was listed on the Window Sticker , I received a text message saying nothing would be sent out if I did not additional monies not listed on the Bill of Sale. So the Hyundai Automotive Group, is withholding items that were listed on Window Sticker and now wanting to charge extra fees outside of what was agreed upon in the Bill of Sale. Not only is this illegal in the State of NY but it is bankrupt of all Moral Civic and Company Values. Not only is wrong but criminal. This is considered FRAUD by NYS criminal code. This matter will forwarded to the Criminal and Civil Courts. This Egregious and should never ever happen to anyone, It regretfully has happened to me but whether they want $1 or $1000 dollars more it is illegal fraudulent and morally bankrupt. And they will not get it from me. I will see them in Court. Buyer and Consumer think twice before purchasing a vehicle from them. Buyer beware this company will attempt to extort monies not owed to them once the Bill of Sale is executed.

My 2013 Hyundai Sonata blew an engine - turns out it was under warranty recall for the problem I had - and they replaced the engine at no charge. Farooq - one of the service managers at Plaza Hyundai took care of my situation, and I was 100% satisfied with the way he handled it and communicated with me throughout the whole process. Thank you Farooq!

The car was reserved at Plaza Hyundai on December 27th, 2024 @ 10:30 a.m. for check engine light, engine knock (re-call for load bearing and rod), engine oil burnt etc. The car was released on January 21st, 2025 after multiple reminders/visits. You barely get connected with someone over the phone. Service center charged $442 for diagnosis and said will be reversed if engine replacement approves On January 29th, 2025, I took the car back to Service Center of Plaza Hyundai because the engine light came back and oil was kept burning considering the fact, the oil just emptied out within few days after the oil change was made The service kept the vehicle on January 29th and March 15th, 2025 after engine replacement. The service center again charged $1627 even though engine replacement approved. As I said, bunch of liars there and said, the parts they replaced are not covered as part of engine replacement. They didn't bother asking me and replaced the parts without mentioning the details on the receipt On March 17, the car again reserved at service center because engine light came back and released after 2 days. Again cost me $216 for oxygen sensor and lied again by Manager as he said, only one oxygen sensor covered with engine replacement, and they already replaced previously The biggest and most critical issue started, when I took the vehicle back, it was shaking and vibrating and I was so disappointed and took my vehicle to my local mechanic. As per diagnostic, the engine and transmission weren't assembled, and engine was hanging. I can attach video but there is no option here. Upon further diagnosis, the transmission plate was broken where bolt's needs to be tightened. I took the car back to dealership on March 27, 2025 just 2 days after I got the car back and Manager made us sign the paper and doesn't want to take the liability of the issue because It is purely their fault because they didn't assemble the engine and transmission properly. The car was given them without any assemble issue but engine. Dealership kept the vehicle for over 75 days out of 90 days. No proper testing occurred after engine replacement and car was released 3 times and I had to go back to dealership for one issue after another I've had to engage case manager twice on my case. The experience with first case manager is rough, he never responded my email and phone calls. I also experienced, there is no control of Hyundai Management on this dealership and case manager has no authority on dealership except conveying the message between customers and dealership. I asked my case manager to engage and escalate the higher management from corporate office and dealership but case manager refused to give me information. The car is still with dealership and I have no faith that they will do anything with the car for month, if they do, they will come up some sort of excuse to generate another large bill OUT OF POCKET COST - ABOUT $2500 SO FAR EXCEPT CAR RENTAL EVEN THOUGH ENGINE REPLACEMENT WAS APPROVED. CAN YOU IMAGINE, I WOULD RATHER BUY USED ENGINE FROM JUNK YARD THAT WOULD JUST COST ME $1500 - $1700 DON'T BUY HYUNDAI, DON'T GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP/SERVICE CENTER. VERY RELUCTANT, LIES AND BLAME GAMES HAVE EXPERIENCED Never recommended to anyone neither to go this dealership nor service center.

thank you mr carl for your service i really had a good time purchasing my first car plaza is the best

I recently had a highly disappointing and frustrating experience at Plaza Hyundai in Brooklyn and I feel compelled to share my story to protect other potential car buyers from falling victim to their deceptive sales practices. During my visit to Plaza Hyundai, I sought out to lease a new Hyundai IONIQ 5. I started the negotiation process with one of their sales representatives, Sal. During our conversation, Sal and his colleagues provided me with misleading information about the lease payment which has resulted in a significant discrepancy between the promised payment and the actual payment that I am now obligated to pay. Sal assured me that the monthly lease payment would be $600 based on the terms and conditions discussed during our negotiation. However, upon receiving the lease agreement the next day, I discovered that the actual monthly payment was significantly higher than what was represented to me. Even after the whole ordeal, we noticed that our 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 were missing rear rugs and even that they wouldn’t provide to us. The lack of transparency and the complete disregard for ethical business practices displayed by Plaza Hyundai is truly appalling. As a customer, I placed my trust in them to uphold honesty and integrity, only to be taken advantage of through their deceitful tactics. I strongly advise all potential car buyers to think twice before considering Plaza Hyundai in Brooklyn.
