What Others Say

HIGHLY INCOMPETENT. The worst repair service department I have ever encountered. I needed to have my camshaft position sensor replaced and timing belt replaced. The whole reason I went in was because the camshaft position sensor set off my check engine light. Which led to realizing my timing belt replacement was past due. The service rep said they replace the sensor when they replace the timing belt. Well they didn't. Not only that it took 3 days to do a 4-8 hr job. No one bothered to call me for 2 days. Then when I went to pick up my car they told me my right side cooling fan was not working. Which actually turned out to be the left side cooling fan. Three weeks later what goes off in my car but the check engine light for the camshaft position sensor. My family has owned 14 VWs since 1989 and this was by far the worst service experience ever. I asked them to install the sensor for the price of the part and they told me to go pound sand. They could not help me.

The sales person is as kind and answered all my questions. I got a good deal also.

Although my salesman Juan was great, my experience with the rest of the sales process was incredibly disappointing. My brand new 2024 was delivered dirty inside and out. For the outside I did request a touch less car wash only, which according to my saleman was unavailable. The inside however need a quick 15 minute detail, as there were dirty streaks on the headliner, leather trim, cargo area, and plastic trim in throughout the vehicle, but for whatever reason that wasn't done. As I'm registering the SUV in WV, which issues only one plate, once the deal was made and paperwork started, I specifically and very clearly asked that my brand new car NOT have a front license plate bracket installed. To my surprise it was installed anyway, with the tech apparently telling Juan that it had to be installed prior to delivery. Again, I'm registering the vehicle in WV. So now I have not two or four, but six holes in the front bumper of my brand new SUV. The process to close out the financing took far too long. I arrived at the dealership at 1430 and wasn't able to leave until after 2000. After waiting for quite a while, and to speed things up and to get a MUCH better interest rate, I secured my own financing through my phone with my bank in minutes. Only then was I about an hour away from actually leaving the dealership with my new car. Adding additional frustration to my buying experience, a few days later my bank contacted me to make me aware that my auto loan couldn't be finalized because the purchase amount reflected on the dealer funding form provided by my bank for dealership to complete, and the amount on the final purchase agreement were not the same. So another email and phone call was necessary for me to ensure that error was addressed by the dealership. Finally, as if all of this wasn't enough, my branch new SUV with an odometer reading of five miles was delivered to me with four small cuts in the leather trim on the passenger side, as well as a wonky door lock/unlock button that unlike the driver's side, doesn't sit flush with the door trim. These issues resulted in two additional visits to the dealership, and a very awkward conversation with service department staff that were clearly not understanding their own, or VW's process for rectifying these issues. Initially I was told that I'd have to leave my vehicle with them for "one or two days so that a issue report could be generated with VW". Only when I questioned the logic of that direction was the sales manager involved and way ahead resolved that did not included leaving my car for a day or two with the dealership (for non-mechanical issues and the staff already had pictures of what was wrong). My new 2024 SUV is great, and I'm very thankful Juan called and told me one had just arrived, but my experience beyond that with this dealership was very disappointing. In future there is absolutely no way I will trust them with the maintenance of my now beloved SUV. Trust has been damaged almost from the very moment I arrived at Fairfax Volkswagen.

It was the best experience I've had buying a car at a dealer in the over 5 decades since I started to drive. The Sales Manager Paul, sales person Kevin, and Business (Finance) Manager Glester were super professional, and efficient. And to top it off, the price and financial terms were quite competitive..

Emanuel was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and was professional and courteous. We are very happy with our new Atlas!!

Trustworthy Staff- I am a repeat customer, driving 3 hours to buy my cars at Fairfax VW. The deals that were agreed upon from afar were honored with no shady business. Very professional and thorough.
