Dave is a stand up guy. His crew is awesome. I bought a car from him the beginning of the year. There have been a few minor repairs that Dave's crew have done without issue as soon as I've brought it to his attention. The head gasket in the car recently blew. Dave himself spent 12+ hours making the repair and making it right for me. He did a great job. I will continue to do business with him and also continue to send more business his way. I highly recommend Dave Ducharme and his people if you're in the market for a used car.
I have to say that I never thought I would have a decent time used-car shopping. We went there to look at a specific car we found on Craigslist. It was there in really good condition. They even let us take it to another mechanic for a second opinion, which means that they stand by the quality of their cars. Ron was really personable and honest, and even offered to make a couple repairs before we picked it up. If we ever need another car, we're just going straight to this place.
Ron and Dave Ducharme will change your opinion of used car dealers. I recently purchased an older 1999 Saturn station wagon (SW2) from Ron Ducharme. His father, Dave, began the business over 20 years ago repairing and selling cars. If your reputation matters, your word is your bond. They fix everything they sell, and they know each car's strengths and weaknesses. They guarantee their cars will pass safety inspection. Their after market service is unbelievable. They came to fix a problem AT MY HOME, answered each and every question I had, and did so respectfully. They even repaired a small problem on my 2004 Honda Element!!! Who does that anymore? I guess that's why they have been in business for 20 years and will still be in business for another 20 years. They deserve 5 stars!
Other people reviewing this dealer never stated what kind of vehicle or year they were talking about. I purchased a 2001 Mazda MPV LX for $1400 below list price. We found a couple of things we weren't happy with, eg. 2 tires and door handle on driver's side sliding door. These were fixed without any disagreement from them, and they did a pre-inspection of the vehicle and found a ball joint needed replacement and did so at no extra cost. I would consider buying another used car from this dealership without any hesitation.
Bought a car at about 90,000 miles for 3K. The day we picked it up the "Check Engine" light went on about 10 minutes into the ride and we had to return the car to the dealers. Two days later we were able to pick up the car and were told that it was serviced properly. The same day we took it to pass state inspection where it failed (We were 100% guaranteed it would pass). Two days later the car would not start and the dealers sent a tow to take it back to be serviced once again. We were told the transmission cable was replaced and had no problems for a few days until the battery gave out and the car would not start AGAIN! I called the dealer and told him of the situation, whereupon I was told to jump it and bring it back. Unfortunately we weren't able to jump it and after telling the dealer I was told it would cost me $80 dollars out of my own pocket to tow it back. At that point we asked for a refund on the car, it is a lemon if I have ever seen one. Thankfully the dealer agreed to refund the price along with insurance and registration fees. The bottom line is they run their business as if it was a repair shop. Yes, the cars are cheap but trust me when I say you get what you pay for. This was a nightmarish experience, don't be enticed by the price, it will cost you more in the long run!
David Ducharme’s Auto Sales is very good at sweet talking customers in to buying overpriced lemons. Be careful if buying from this dealership. I bought a car from them exactly one year ago and now just donated the car today because of all the problems. The problems include A/C going out within 2 months, rear wiper breaking in 2 months, alternator failing/belt tensioner within 4 months, bad front/rear brakes, bad shocks, and the latest problem being the emergency brake locked up and the car is not drivable. The car has been a lemon and money pit since day one. Buy from a dealer that sales dependable and reliable cars.
