What Others Say

There’s a reason for all the negative reviews — Shelby Ford is a joke. I originally came by after work to test drive a vehicle and decided to sleep on the decision overnight. The car had only recently been traded in, yet it hadn’t been cleaned at all and even had a screw in the tire during the test drive. On top of that, no one on the sales floor — including management — could even locate the vehicle at first, despite it already being listed online on the Ford website and sites like CarGurus. I returned the next day interested in purchasing the vehicle. The online listing price was $41,900, but when the salesperson brought out the paperwork, the price had suddenly increased to $43,000 — even though we had a valid trade-in and were financing, which the website stated may be required for the advertised pricing. They also attempted to add a mandatory $1,250 “cleaning fee,” despite the fact that the vehicle had clearly not been cleaned whatsoever. After going back and forth trying to either get the vehicle down to the advertised price or have new tires included — since the current tires were visibly worn and one actively had a screw in it — management refused to work with us, so we left. Hours later, after we were already home, the manager called and agreed to sell the vehicle for $41,000 (still without replacing the tires) if we came back that night. At that point, the salesperson assured us the tires and brakes would be inspected before we took the vehicle home. However, we later discovered the service department had already left hours earlier — something we were not told until after my credit had been pulled and paperwork had already been signed. We later brought the vehicle back for the promised tire and brake inspection. Despite having a scheduled appointment, we waited for hours only for nothing to actually be done. Overall, our salesperson was kind and understanding, but lacked knowledge and support from management. This is not a salesperson issue — it is absolutely a management problem.

I’ll be very wary of going to this dealership. To put it nicely they are a scam. If you see an online price, go ahead and add another seven grand. Between the thousand dollar dock fee, three grand in rebates they hide in the fine print that you only get if you use their financing and trade in a vehicle, and another two grand in a “interior and exterior coating that protects your paint and seats for the next three years”. Simply put, expect surprises and lies. The car we were interested didn’t even have headrests so if you wanna get in a crash and snap your neck, this is the dealership for you. If you want a car without damage, forget about it! Both of the cars we looked at had major damage that was hidden and zip tied in place to keep from falling apart. Their moto is transparency but they are about as transparent as mud. Thanks for scamming me into driving 4 hours for nothing and wasting my time Classic Ford Shelby. You really do have the best customer care. All I wanted was to by a car for the price I saw. Guess that was too much to ask. Hope your scamming days don’t last long.

If I could A - I would Had 30k service done ahd it cost me over 900.00 Changed diff fluid and I have never used 4 w drive..And no ONE ever talked wirh me about the service, Then a few months later Had a tail light out and charged me almost 90.00 for the replacement bulb and saw my truck in the lane to go out for 30 minutes..Last straw had a horn issue and the service writer told me How long Can I many days can I leave it to be looked at...xxx went to another dealership and the problem a was resolved within 2 days..OH lest us not forget when I was going to buy the Truck in2020 The salesman told me most people are paying over sticker price by at least 4k....STAY AWAY

We bought a 2025 Ford Bronco Sasquatch from Chris London. He was super easy to work with. Very honest and responsive. Took the time to show us all the features. Really enjoyed the entire sales process. Highly recommend Chris and Classic to everyone looking for a new or used vehicle. We were in and out in less than an hour. Fantastic! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were in the market for buying a car outright cash and this was one of several dealerships we went to over a couple week period. This was the worst experience of all of them. I want to stress that the lady that helped find cars for us there was nice and helpful and not part of the issue. We looked at a preowned 2022 Kia Sportage (pics attached) which was very promising for our buying conditions. Test driving it we found the AC didn't work at all, this wasn't disclosed beforehand. Afterwards back in the office I asked for the incident report and found it had two prior incidents, One in the side and one in the front, and that AC work had been done just a few weeks earlier. That's to be expected for some preowned, so not a big deal. The issue is that they were fully prepared to sell me a car without telling me about the non-working AC. I spoke with the manager and he said they already knew about the non-working AC and "had plans" to fix it. So why were they still selling it in that condition without disclosure! The lady helping me didn't know about the AC, she would have sold it to me if I hadn't found the issue. AC is a basic function and a car should not be out on a dealership lot without it working, and especially without disclosing it before buying. Absolute scummy tactics at this place. We left right after and ended up buying a car the same day having a wonderful experience at another dealership in Charlotte.

BUYER BEWARE! Giving this business only 1 star, because its not possible to give a negative number! On May 7th, 2025 we bought our new Lincoln Corsair at Classic Lincoln of Shelby, in Shelby NC. What a disaster! It's been 50 days so far, yes almost 2 months and it took this long to get paperwork errors corrected on the purchase agreement and I still can't register my car in SC because no one has sent the title work for the DMV to recognize the VIN. Utterly absurd and totally unacceptable! They let us take the car the day we bought it because they said they were having computer issues but no one knew what they were doing! I was sent multiple DocuSign agreements since then, which I refused to sign until the information was correct because there were multiple errors. Have called multiple times but no one is ever available and no one seems to care. They also charge what I would call 'exorbitant' document fees of $999 and $1800 in fees that no one seemed to be able to explain. I know, my fault for accepting but you live and learn. Not sure how much longer it will be before i can get my car tagged. I'll probably have to elevate this issue to another level. Just shop elsewhere and save yourself all this trouble and expense! BUYER BEWARE!
