I am utterly disappointed with the service department at Crossroads Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Prince George, VA. Despite scheduling my 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for service, the earliest appointment I could get was over two weeks out. They set up an appointment time for 8:30 am, and we dropped off the Challenger at 8:00 am. However, by 5 pm, I had still not heard anything from the service department, so I called them. To my dismay, the person who answered the phone asked if I knew the name of my service writer, which I did not. He then suggested that I call back after 9 am to get a status on the work. The next morning, I received a call that the Challenger was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I was handed a bill for $195.65, which was on the high end of my expectations. Keep in mind that all I needed was to have a piece of plastic trim replaced on the interior door panel, and I was supplying the part. To make matters worse, I noticed that the part they had replaced was sitting on the roof of the Challenger. It was appalling to see a service department leave parts on the roof of someone's car. When I opened the door, I realized that the broken piece had not been replaced. I immediately returned to the service department, where they discovered that the service was written up incorrectly, and they had replaced the passenger side trim with the new part. The service writer's suggested solution was to order a new part for the driver's side and replace it for free. However, since I had already paid Crossroads almost $200 to replace a part that was broken, I didn't think this was much of an offer. Adding to my frustration, when I first raised this issue, I was told that they couldn't get the replacement part and that was why I had supplied the part. The only silver lining in this whole ordeal was the mechanic who had done the work. He was present and was able to take the part they mistakenly took off the passenger and replace the broken one on the driver's side door. I expect a higher level of service and expertise from Crossroads, and I hope that they can improve their service department to better serve their customers.
Do your business elsewhere I took my truck in because it was stuck in 4w low Trevor the mechanic I was told was working on my car I called on Tuesday after I was told to have it there Monday I called left message never heard back called Thursday again talked to him was told I need a new transfers case and acuator which will be 3800.00 ok then I called around to several mechanics and was told repeatedly that both hardly ever go out then another dodge mechanic told me the transfers cases don’t really go out then had them call dodge itself for parts was told all transfers cases are months out can’t get them to dealerships or other mechanics right now but cross roads said they could haha well I told them don’t work on it I have someone coming to get it to get second opinion well guess what it wasn’t the transfers case they fixed the actuator and truck it good as new cost total parts and labor 500.00 so tell me why they were gonna charge me 3800.00 probably cause Trevor saw a lady come in and he could take her financially cause how will I know if it was fixed or not he wasn’t thinking this lady was gonna get a second opinion or actually check part availability DO YOURSELF A FAVOR GO ELSEWHERE IF THEY DO THIS TO PEOPLE REGULARLY AND YOU CANT TRUST THEM WHY EVEN BUY A CAR FROM THem? I even called corporate you think I got a call back ? NOPE I have never met such dishonest people in my life and I will make sure everyone knows about how dishonest this dealership is so no one else gets taken for so much money
Service Department is a joke..Went in for a OIL change and the representative refused to make an appointment stated there only concerns were major car service. I will never return.
Can I give negative stars? Our 2019 Ram 2500 broke down on side of road and was towed to Crossorads dealership - truck sat there for SIX weeks without them doing anything. Overall experience with FCA has been challenging. And crossroads lack of doing anything is just the icing on the cake. Never once in SIX WEEKS did Josh the service advisor ever call me. I always had to initiate - same story each time I called. Then last week when I was finally able to get truck towed several hours away to local dealership - I called to let Crossroads know … Josh was no longer working there and Vince didn’t know anything about my truck. Sorry excuse for a service department.
The crew and salesman were very helpful in assisting with the purchase of my new vehicle
Still having transmission problems with my 2016 Ram 2500 Diesel truck that has 27,000 miles. Transmission has failed and caused me to visit RAM Service Departments 4 times since 8/2019. The most resent trip being at the Crossroads Dealership on 8/25/2020. They are blaming me for water in the transmission and tell me I need to call my insurance company. How did that get in there is my question. The warranty is for 100,000 miles or 5 years but does not cover their service work apparently! This is my 1st Ram truck and it was special ordered in 3/2016. The Customer Service Hot Line is there to back the service manager's opinion and Not the Customer! I tried to communicate with every link Ram/Chrysler has that I can find. It's the customer's fault for buying this vehicle! I've been told to contact a lawyer. Can anyone recommend a lawyer for all the mental emotion they have put me through? First time on beach the transmission broke and my 2 week vacation was ruined. Had to drive 10 hours back and forth from 1st breakdown. Warranty did even pay total cost for rental vehicle to drive. Did I Say this Vehicle on has 27,000 miles!?
