What Others Say

Hello, it's a terrible experience with this Maxon Hyundai dealership. Pam McClellan, at 908-485-1462 (not sure who is this but they asked us to call her after a bad review on Google), we left 4 voice messages for this person she never calls back. If you are going to look any car you like be sure it's gonna be $10,000 extra. They are so disrespectful to their clients. We came from Pennsylvania to see the car they put on carfox for $14.500, after test driving we decided to buy this car and they told us $10,000 extra. Don't trust these people and don't waste your time.

Kamille Gutierrez was very helpful and patient. Super pleased with the service! Ask for Kamille if you are shopping for a car! Barbara Volker

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY !!! Called the dealership spoke to Destiny to verify they had the 2024 Sante Fe in the showroom Not only did she tell me yes that had them in, but in fact they had four of them in stock. DROVE AN HOUR TO THE DEALERSHIP !!!! to find out when I got there they actually had NONE IN STOCK!!! The sale man said they didn't have them in but they had another model car to show me. BAIT AND SWITCH AT ITS FINEST. Then they had the audacity to call me and tell me as soon as they get them in they will give me a call. ARE YOU SERIOUS you just wasted two hours of my time driving back and forth and you think for a second I'm going to give you of my money.

DO NOT GO TO MAXON HAYUNDAI ON RT 22, UNION, NEW JERSEY. WE GOT "CLICK BATED" and treated TOTALLY DISRESPECTFULLY!!! The "Internet advertised price" was $15,876 and in the small print, it said, the price does not include "$399 clerical exp, $175 Doc Delivery, $225 Admin exp and price does not include a Certified pre-owned certification fee ??? NO amount was listed for this CPO certification. I did my homework on CarEdge and Carmax and calculate with there fee's, with tax/title and reg (so the out the door price) total should be $18,500 at worst. I asked the salesman for the out the door price and to my surprise the total was $26,489, because this included $3,495 for CPO, plus $1,000 Loyalty fee, plus $1,000 Non-military fee. When the manager came out the only thing he would negotiate was he was willing to take off the $1,000 dollar price added on for being a non-Loyalty customer and willing to take $1,000 off the price for the non-military fee since my son was a first responder being that he is a nurse. When I ask the for an an out the door price again, suddenly the manager added window etching for an additional cost of $350. I told the manager we didn't want etching because that does nothing to deter the theft of the vehicle and we didn't want the $3,495 CPO. I could see and hear a little frustration in the manager's voice when I was told that is an add on that must be added in the final price. I explained that that is an optional warranty because you are guaranteeing to cover the car for 10 yrs or 100,000 miles and that we don't want that option. After a lot of back in forth the manager said that if he waived the $3,495 CPO then he would no longer give us off the $2,000 less for military and loyalty discount(in effect making the CPO now $2,000 towards the finale price). The manager then said, "if I get the price down a little more close to the amount you came in to buy the car at, would you be financing?" I told the manage that I want to see the final out the door price first, and then I'll be more than happy to speak with you finance person to see what your rates are? My son and I could see further frustration on the manager's face when he said, "Oh no, I have to know if you financing this car before I can write up on the official purchase agreement." I responded with I'll discuss financing with your finance person and I said, "well what if, I was to pay $18,500 today? Are you telling me that cash is not king". And the manager said, "No it's not and cash has not been king for a long time". I said that your internet website advertisement doesn't say that this price is conditioned upon qualifying and agreeing to pay via financing. And then manager with total frustration in his voice said, "Well, I am going to assume that you are either paying cash or you have already set up financing already. I told the manager that the final number if he wants a sale with us today was $18,500. The manager stepped away and came back 5 minutes later, "Well congratulations! You have successfully talked your way out of a deal today" THAT WAS TOTALLY DISRESPECTFULL!!! All he had to say was "I'm sorry but we can't go that low or maybe we can make a deal on another car but instead he chose to says, "Congratulations" and throw it in my face that I blew a deal when OBVIOUSLY we never came to a deal. That was an absolute slap in the face. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE WHERE YOU ARE TREATED WITH RESPECT!

Jack was my sales rep and it was the quickest smoothest sale i ever had. I highly recommend buying from this dealership for a no fuss transaction

Would give 0 stars if I could. spent literally all day. negotiated in good faith. realized they were selling us the wrong car. then magically the settled on price of the correct car is no longer available. GAMES GAMES GAMES!!!! do not come under any circumstances. Previously purchased a car in 2012 and management changed. It's terrible and "management" should be embarrassed. The closer (Rich) tried to blame his mistake on Al.. Who was nothing but helpful and professional throughout the few times I came in. My husband and I stared at Rich in disbelief when he tried to get 4k more from us. We left. We will NEVER return. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! complete waste of time and the day. They needed to own up to their mistake and say yes we will honor the agreed upon price.
