I was given the Thank you to RaceTrack Rick Scourtas and Herb Chambers Porsche of Boston for the invitation to the Atlanta Porsche Experience Center. I was given the VIP treatment. The sunny morning began with a short overview of the speed yellow GT3 I would drive then brief sessions on the kick plate, skid pad and low friction coarse. Most of the 90 minutes was spent on the road course or “outer ring” as it is referred to. The composure and speed of the GT3 has often been written about but to experience it first hand was serious adrenaline. The only limit was my ability. If asked the Porsche Experience Center driving coach will take the wheel for the final couple of lapses which he did and boy did we move… Given Rick’s long history as a Porsche factory driver the only thing better would have been a few lapse with Rick at the wheel. All in all, a great time. More
