After the problems I had, I received a phone call, from the dealership. When I received the keys back after service, the service writer, who when I first brought the vehicle in, he argued with me that my truck took 8 qts of oil. I repeatedly told him that it takes 6. He got xxxxty with me, then I told him to only put in 6 qts. Then he came in with 2 broken wheel studs. He said that they were rusty, and they snapped, but for $150, plus $36 dollars for two studs, they will fix it. I told him to leave it, I’ll fix it. He again mumbled something, and walked away. I told him to give me the broken lug nuts, and I would drill them out. He handed me the lug nuts, they were clean, no rust, no broke off studs. They were in perfect shape. That is my reason for the bad review. THEN, I received a phone call from the dealership apologizing for the problems. I understand that one person is not the voice of everyone at the dealership. They have offered to correct the problem, sometime next week, at no charge to me. Without admitting fault, they will make things right. It has made me realize that Alan Jay dealerships are as a rule, a pretty good place to do business. I was asked to reconsider my bad review, I have, I will go back to Alan Jay dealerships. In the future I don’t want any contact with the service writer that helped me. I started building SB Chevy motors over 45 yrs ago, and I also study what engines are in my vehicles. I know that trucks either take 6, or 10 qts. Not 8, ever, unless it is an after market oil pan. But, the bottom line is, I’ll return to Alan Jay
