My Review of Albany Ford:
This dealership is a complete fraud. We purchased a brand new car which was supposed to have various options, according to the salesperson. Guess what? It did not. We called the very next morning (12 hours after purchase) and were told tough luck. The car also began having numerous problems within the first 3 weeks (less than 400 miles): defective, rusted brakes and brake parts that had to be replaced by Ford's service department; engine whine that could not be fixed; a rear panel that began breaking away from the body of the car; and carpeting in the rear that was not properly installed. We asked the dealer for a refund or a trade-in. With only 400 miles, the dealer wanted $8,500 from us to take the car and then told us that he wouldn't even be able to make a profit with that, so he refused to even honor his initial offer. They have refused to replace the vehicle, refused to talk to Ford for us, and in short, refused to stand behind their products in any way. I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from this dealership. We were even dealing with the owner! He did not even apologize to us once. What a mistake to buy an American car. We bought a Toyota only 6 months prior, and our experience was the complete opposite: great service, great knowledge, excellent dealer.

My Review of Albany Ford:
Read this whole review. The salesman was a very nice to me. Friendly and not very pushy. I had done some research so when we negotiated a price I felt like I had a good deal. I stressed that it was an "out-the-door" price. I wrote it down on a piece of paper. He agreed and I was then led to a different room with the financing person (the salesman was not there). I signed the contract only to discover that they had tacked on an extra $2,000 for themselves. It's hard to beat someone at their own game. This dealership cheated me out of $2,000. The only reason I got an OK deal was because Ford had a $3,000 cash back incentive. The bottom line is that we verbally agreed on a price and then I was deceived into paying more through the complexity of the contract.
