My Review of Albera Brothers Chrysler Jeep:
It's unfortunate that there is only one Chrysler dealership in San Francisco for repairs and service. I always feel lke I'm being taken for a ride when dealing with Albera Bros.
I had to bring my car back to Albera in December of '04 to repair exectly the same problem my car had in February of '04. And of course with Albera Bros. I'm being made to feel that nothing is there fault and I should just pay up and shut up. They weren't even courteous enough to issue me a taxi voucher. You'll have to twist Albera's arm to get them to stand behind their 12 month warranty on parts and repairs. As I was told by Justin King:, "It's probably not the same problem as in February, so the warranty doesn't apply." Do yourself a favor and avoid Albera Bros. like the plague.

My Review of Albera Brothers Chrysler Jeep:
I took my PT Cruiser to Albera Bros. to have the transmission looked at after it refused to shift into 3rd gear.

I was told that it might be a few days because of the holidays (it was the Monday before Christmas) and that day I was told that the car would likely need a new transmission.

They told me this without having removed the tranny to check, so I called Chrysler customer service to see what they could do for me because the service manager told me it might be two weeks.

Chrysler customer service talked to Justin, who told them he would call me back that afternoon.

I called that afternoon, and was told that he had not promised to call me, that nothing had changed. When I replied that I felt like I was getting two different stories, he screamed at me and told me to come pick up the car. Then he hung up on me.

I called back and asked to speak to his manager. I also called Chrysler back and was told that the maximum they will authorize for a rental is 5 days. So I have an 18 month old car with a (probably) bad transmission and I'm being blamed for and penalized for their inability to get the work done quickly.

When the upper level manager called me back, he snidely said "we don't build the cars" as if this would make me feel better. Basically, Chrysler blames the dealer and the dealer blames the company.

I'm expected to shop it around to other dealers to see who can fix it more quickly, even though Albera is the only dealer in SF.

I'm completely appalled at the short-sightedness of this. How much would it have cost them to have simply helped me and said something like "oh dear, that shouldn't have happened, you can pick up your rental at X place and keep it until the car is fixed. We're very sorry."

But both Chrysler and Albera Bros. have done exactly the opposite. This should've been a no-brainer, but instead it's a horrible experience for me.

My Review of Albera Brothers Chrysler Jeep:
Albera Brothers is extremely overpriced and has tried to overcharge me several times. I took my car in there today for an oil change which in and of itself is too expensive (ie. $60 vs $25 which is what I pay at Falore's in Sunnyvale). I asked them to check the brakes which is supposed to be included in their oil change package and they said that would cost an extra $100. When I complained, they immediately dropped it to $25 for the brakes check. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me for being a girl and assuming I knew nothing about cars. I have had other similar instances like this occur when working with Albera. I can no longer deal with their lack of ethics. I highly recommend Michael Stead in Walnut Creek or Falore in Sunnyvale in that so far I have had good experiences with them.
