My Review of Alhambra Mazda:
I want to commend your dealership on its excellent staff and superior customer service. No matter what employee I speak with, I am always greeted with a smile, a friendly hello and a clear explanation of what is happening with my vehicle. From your general manager, Preston, to your service manager Ricky, your staff of mechanics and even your cashier, I continue to receive outstanding service on each and every visit.

I have a Mazda RX8 that I purchased from my brother who bought it from Alhambra Mazda. Ricky and Andrew in service made me feel welcome on my first visit to the dealership, which was for my Factory Maintenance Plan Oil Change. Every subsequent visit for various standard maintenance procedures or recall checks have always left me feeling satisfied, respected and treated with care and patience.

My Review of Alhambra Mazda:
One day, I brought my recalled RX8 to Alhambra Mazda. I wanna have them to schedule a date for replacing my spark plug. I did feel like they are not really willing to help and was treated me impolitly, maybe it's because they don't make $$ on recall cases. So they tried to force me to get a maintainance service, which cost me more then $500, and said it was a special discount for me. I am not stupid, so I didn't fall into this trap. I just bought a car 2 months ago why do I need a maintainance service for???
So I left, and I went to Mazda Monovia which was much better serive I would have give them 4stars at least. They even send me Christmax card, even I am not buying car from them and even I got free recall from them. I would consider a new mazda at Monovia even it's further away from where I live

My Review of Alhambra Mazda:
I tried to take a test drive and consider buying a Mazda3. The salesman didn't know anything about the car or the similar model. After I took the test drive I tried to negotiate with him about the pricing because they put a sticker price way above the MSRP for a base model without any kind of option. The salesman without even trying gave me away to his manager who took me into his office. He was not anywhere near polite, if you go to any kind of dealer. The first thing they do is at least shake your hand and introduce himself. Not with this one, neither a shake hand nor mentioning his name. I mentioned to him that the price was way too high and I want to know how much lower he can give me. We never even mentioned any number and he kicked me out of his office literally telling me to go away. Worst salesmanship ever.

My Review of Alhambra Mazda:
I had the unfortunate experience of visiting their dealership for warranty work. I had a scraping noise coming from the engine bay everytime I made a left turn, which they determined to be a broken engine bracket. The initial visit went normally, I got back my car and drove home thinking everything was fine.

So I was surprised to hear the same sound again later that day. I figured they might not have done a thorough job so I scheduled for another visit the following week. I spoke to the service personnel over the phone, told him the problem and he scheduled me for a Saturday appointment.

Imagine my surprise the Alhambra Mazda service personnel said they couldn't do anything that Saturday, claiming "Mazda Corp isn't open on Saturdays so I have to come back another day". They even went so far to accuse me of lying about making a Saturday appointment because they said the technician should have known better than to schedule such a service on Saturdays. When I demanded to see my reservation, they showed that I had called the week before, and arranged for servicing the prior Saturday (absolutely ridiculous).

Throughout the whole process the service manager (Ricky) was extremely rude, and even yelled at me to get out of the dealership. When i mentioned they had a problem with their reservation system, he said I had no business telling him how to run his department. I then asked to speak to the general manager, after which Ricky yelled at me to get out of the dealership. Nevertheless I spoke to the general manager, who was nice but couldn't help out much.

Eventually I took my car to Star Mazda in Glendale and they fixed the issue within 2 hrs.

To cut a long story short, AVOID this dealership's service department at all cost. Not only are they incompetent in their work, but they're also very rude towards their customers. I pray future customers won't have to pay the consequences on the event of a blotched service job.

My Review of Alhambra Mazda:
They don't even deserve a 1 rating. To cut a long story short, my boyfriend scheduled an appointment for a warranty problem they did not fix properly the first time round, and when he showed up, they refused to fix his car on that Saturday because they scheduled the appointment wrong, and also refused to apologize for their mistake. This is after about 2 "wrong" appointments they scheduled. DO NOT COME HERE to get your car fixed; the mechanics are useless and the service manager is incompetent.

My Review of Alhambra Mazda:
I was interested in the RX-8, drove in, the sales was at the door, we got out, sales didnt bother to approach us, after like 10 mins sales come and ask how could he help, didnt even bother introducing himself. After showing us one car, he said he had something else to do and went back into the dealer, leaving us alone outside looking by ourselves. Then I went to the office asking for a test drive, gave tons of excuses for not letting us test drive one, so my gf told the guy that we are going to another dealer. and that was it. Their poor customer service explains why they have 20 RX-8s on the lot....
