My Review of Assael BMW:
First of all, would I recommend this dealership? It should have an option for HELL NO! this dealership is so messed up that it would be impossible to fix.

Sales - All the sales employees are assholes, with the exception of a few. I went to visit a friend that used to work there (This person hated the job so much that she/he quit after being there for just 1 month). While I was waiting I went to check out the BMWs in the main showroom and all the sales employees were standing around with no customers. A newlywed couple comes walking in waiting to be helped. They continue to wait for 45 minutes while all the employees are simply staring at them...doing nothing. They ask one of the sales managers a couple of questions and all he does is page for a salesman to come to the showroom. Needless to say, he pages 4 more times and still nobody comes to help them out (even though they're ALL just sitting there doing NOTHING). The young couple walks out of the showroom very mad and is then approached by a rude and condescending salesman. That's just sales!

Receptionists/Cashiers - Well I'm not going to lie, they are attractive and can be nice sometimes....but they're all completely brain dead. A few are part time strippers at local clubs and the others are in or just graduating from highschool. If you call and ask to speak to a service advisor or an employee that works at the dealership, don't be surprised to get either the wrong person or to directed to voicemail right away...they are that stupid. To them it's easier to give you the wrong person than for them to take 7 seconds to page someone or transfer the call correctly. If you do call and give a message to the receptionist/cashier don't be surprised to not get a call back anytime soon. 97% of the time they can't remember what happened 5 seconds ago or are simply too lazy to give the message to the appropriate person...or they leave them on the desk and the service advisors receive the messages a couple days later.

My Review of Assael BMW:
5 months ago I was driving my BMW when the oil light came on. I went to nearest dealer...assael. I was greeted by young man and was told that I have to schedule appointment but he would see if they could squeeze me in! I was getting coffee from machine and cashier told me I HAVE to schedule appointment because it was too crowded. I waited 10 minutes and was asked by another person (kenon miles) if I had been helped. I told him my problem and he asked where my car was and saw the oil light that was on. He walked me back to the lounge, went to parts, and filled my car up with oil. When we got to car he explained to me problem and how to fill oil. I waited for first person to see his name, but he never showed again. I cant know how long I wait if kenon didn't help me. He is greeter.
Thank you

My Review of Assael BMW:
On the afternoon of Sunday, September 18, 2005, my friend and I went to test drive a 330i at Assael BMW in Monrovia. The salesperson that "helped" us was very rude and condescending (I wish I would've asked for his card). My friend has been to the same dealership several times before this and was also met with unacceptable customer service.

The salesman did not treat us with respect. I must say Assael is absolutely the worst dealership I have been to. I wonder how they sell any cars with such bad service. I'm trying to contact BMW USA to complain also.

Our experience at New Century BMW was much more pleasant and I will be order my car through them.

My Review of Assael BMW:
Their contempt for their customers knows no bounds. This is not only the worst BMW dealer I have ever encountered, it is the worst car dealer of any kind I have ever experienced. So far, I have been there three times to take care of a problem that should have been taken care of on the first visit. The problem is still not fixed. I will be stuck going back there a fourth time. I feel like I am being punished by God...

Stepping into the service area is like stepping into the twilight zone. They appear to have no concept of customer service. There are notes posted all over the place. "Don't touch [this]." "Customer Education: Who qualifies for a service loaner?" "It is very important that we receive a 5 in all categories." All this while it takes weeks to get an appointment, the service advisors are rude and incompetent, and the service manager has a take-it-or-leave-it attitude.

One bright spot though. The female service advisors (who seem to feel free to be openly rude to the customers), dress in an a manner more appropriate for a strip bar than a car dealership. Low cut tops, mini skirts, and stilletto heels prevail. Possibly they have recruited the former service manager from the Spearmint Rhino? AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
My Review of Assael BMW:
It is not surprising why people call Assael BMW "Asshole" BMW. In a word they suck. My one and only service visit to them took two days and more blood, sweat and tears than passing a kidney stone. The bill was just short of the cost of a new NASA space shuttle. I drove home without inspecting all the work at the dealership itself, as I usually do, and discovered that they even forgot to reinstall a part! Not some small item mind you, but the HUGE plastic cover to the radiator assembly on an E36! Of course I called immediately and complained. They said to bring it in the next day. Sure, why not, since they had the car for two solid days (which I'm sure was worked on for the ENTIRE two days! Yeah right), what's another day, or even a week??? The next day, a wonderful argument with the service RETARD (far from an advisor) who agreed that they had the part in question off during the service but highly doubted they forgot to replace it and I would be billed for it. Okay guys, I give in, I admit it, you figured out my brilliant money making scam of breaking my BMW, taking it to a dealer and leaving it for 2 days, bringing it home to remove the radiator cover, and then complaining of missing the cover!

In the end, I didn't pay for the cover. They replaced it and I drove the car home. A few days later I was checking the oil and noticed that the 4 screws and push-pins used to mount the cover were all different! EXCELLENT quality work guys! Factory trained by Yugo of America I'm sure.

Never again. On par with Crevier (overpriced and not customer friendly) and close to Bob Smith (worst in the universe).

My Review of Assael BMW:
I had bad experience with their service dept. I changed oil every 5K miles. The first time they charged me 60 dollars, the second time i went there, they charged me 110 dollars for the same oil change service. Since it was my mom who picked up the car the second time, she paid that amount. I called and asked for an explanation, and they told me to come back and reimbursed the amount. However when I was there, they said that they never mentioned anything regarding to the refund and that I must had heard it wrong or something. From then on, I haven't put my foot in to their dealership.

My Review of Assael BMW:
Had bought an '02 X5 there with no problems, got great service during & closing the sale. However afterwards is when the nightmare began! Their parts dept doesn't know much about add on BMW parts - had to make 3 trips to get the right parts kit for a CPT 8000 phone system. Their service dept can't find a hole from a ground - made multiple trips to find out that there was a wiring plug behind the radio that was disconnected causing no audio from the CPT 8000 phone system. Then there was a burglary over the weekend and my phone disappeared while my X5 was in their service dept! No one would say anything at first and I had to file a police report for the missing phone & accessories. Later, the service manager came out and admitted there was a burglary & never received an apology or any compensation - treated me like nothing. The service dept wouldn't change the air filter because it wasn't at 30k miles! Dirty, dusty, and smoggy Los Angeles clogged the air filter at 15k miles but they wouldn't change out a $14 part! No BMW loaners - never got one for the 2 warranty issues.
The customer relations: Ann Sitter Dorsey is useless - just agrees with the dealership - never trying to see from the customer perspective. Won't ever go to Assael anymore!
I found New Century in Alhambra and Crevier in Santa Ana the best !
