My Review of Automotive Search Inc:
I visited this dealership to purchase a used 2004 Toyota 4-Runner. I was greeted by salesman Bob Allen. We told Bob we were from Aurora and interested in one of two Toyota's on the lot. I was looking at a SUV the dealer has priced about $4000 over current market value. We test drove the vehicle and intended to purchase it, pending the typical negotiations of buying a used car. Bob expressed his belief that his automobile is worth more than market value, and is correct based on the overall condition, but given the current SUV market, certainly not $4,000 above average retail. As my starting point, I made an offer of $15k for a vehicle that has a market value of $15,735 per Kelly Blue Book. The response I got from Bob was "We are done here, you can go back to Aurora now, you are bottom feeders" Bob indicated that because we happen to Work in Aurora, and he thinks we live in Aurora, then we are "bottom feeders". I would hope that any potential consumers can see that this dealership is the type that will smile to get your money, then let the door hit you on the way out. His comment was unprofessional and insulting. Although I don't actually live in Aurora, I work there and believe Aurora is a proud place to call home. The owner was notified of Bob's unprofessional behavior, but stated it was a "difficult time for the car business". Sounds like another small shop stealership on the way out to me. Stay away from Automotive Seach Inc. There are PLENTY of other options out there.
