My Review of BMW Sterling Motors Ltd:
OKAY DEALERSHIP.....

I went here for service....and I was very disappointed because I have to come back 4x before they fix the SAME problem I told them on my first visit.....they are very friendly but unless they do a good job, you end up being disappointed with the crappy service. Thy give me a LOANER CAR everytime I went there for service......this is great BUT the service department put 2 dings on my FIRST BMW.

RESEARCH THE PROBLEM ON YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU GO THERE AND USE PROPER WORDING BECAUSE THEY WILL WILL TELL YOU "EVERYTHING IS OKAY" VIDEOTAPE THE PROBLEM IF POSSIBLE.

PLEASE DO A DETAILED WALKTHROUGH ON YOUR CAR AND LOOK AT ALL SCRATCHES BECAUSE I END UP HAVING TWO MAJOR DINGS ON MY BMW. TAKE PICTURES IF POSSIBLE.

My Review of BMW Sterling Motors Ltd:
Purchased via internet sales back in 2000. sales rep was very friendly on the phone and on e-mail, and was happy to keep me posted on the progress of my special order car (I ordered unusual set of options, so had to get it special ordered for 3mo wait) and never made me feel like I was imposing on her for asking her for an update (started production, at loading dock, shipping, arrived at dock, etc). Since it was through internet purchase I did not have to go through the traditional face-to-face haggling, but they have been very good about what counts.. getting me the right car as promised. Too bad I live so remotely that I cannot use their service department (most of our local BMW dealers have horrible service)

My Review of BMW Sterling Motors Ltd:
A+ service!!! After reading some of the reviews about Sterling BMW on this site and others, I decided to give them a try today. I've always taken my car into Irvine BMW due to convenience, but their customer service is horrible. All I can say is Sterling BMW is the best! The comparison between the two is almost like night and day.

Each time I take my car in to Irvine BMW, I feel like they're doing me a big favor for servicing my car, and then they rush you out, and at times with the issue of why you brought the car in for service still unresolved.

At Sterling, my service adviser Rob M. was awesome to say the least. He really went out of his way to make my experience pleasurable. I initially brought my car in for a brake service brought to my attention by the indicator light. Rob had the front and back brakes looked at and determined that they both needed to be replace along with the rotors.

I took the day off to go into the dealership, so I was hoping he could also take care of my oil change during this visit which would be due soon, probably in a few more weeks. I really didn't want to have to take another day off. Before I even brought this issue up, Rob mentioned that I was due for a oil service soon, and would see if that could also be taken care of during this visit. Irvine BMW would have told me to bring it back.

To top it off, Rob even replaced my wiper blades without me having to ask, now thats service! ... I guess its about time since these were the original blades and I've had the car for a few years now. I waited for my car and they had the car back to me right on schedule, with my car washed and tires shinned.

To sum it up, I would whole-heartedly recommend Sterling, especially Rob. My experience today totally opened my eyes, and I realized what I've been missing all these years. Knowing what I know now, I would never go back to Irvine BMW.

My Review of BMW Sterling Motors Ltd:
Having dealt with nearly every BMW in Southern California, Sterling comes out on top of them all. They are above all else, very nice to deal with. I have not always been 100% satisfied with their work, however they have worked continually to rectify my concerns and complaints. It would be great if they offered free BMW loaner cars, but at least their drop off service is good (unlike Irvine BMW's). On occasion they have provided loaners from the rental dealership next door. Very nice. Prices are not cheap, but then it seems like every BMW dealer is now charging 4-5 times the price for service than just a few years ago (I have the receipts to prove it...oil change, alignment, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, etc.). One service manager (Mark I think is his name) is top notch. Hard working and very diligent.
