My Review of Bill Heard Chevrolet Co:
I worked for this dealership (Union City store) for 3 weeks. Only 3 of the 8 of us hired a month ago could stomach the place. The radio and newspaper ads are false. I felt bad for the customers who read or heard the ads, came in and were told their credit or negative equity was such that they could not buy anything. The management on the new car side is rude [especially Troy and Armando], insulting and couldn't care less if they sell a car. They will not discount prices because their sales and profits are falling rapidly. 2 of Bill Heard's multiple stores closed recently. The Director of Sales walked out last week. They cannot keep sales people because of the way they are treated. An ad for sales people runs continually in careerbuilder. The sales staff turnover is approximately 12 people per month. Probably the worst thing is how numerous young sales people run into the parking lot as a new customer drives up. They start fighting over the customer even before the customer gets out of his/her car. No other dealership allows this. It is disgustingly unprofessional. Many customers just turn around and leave. I would too. One positive note: David Smith, the used car floor manager is great. He really tries to help people, even those with bad credit.

My Review of Bill Heard Chevrolet Co:
I checked the chevy web site that shows dealer's inventory and found a vehicle like I was looking for at this dealer. I called and spoke to a sales person who said they handle the internet sales and told them I was trying to save time buying a car by shopping online first and I needed their best price. She called back with an acceptable price so I went into the dealership. She had me fill out a credit app while she had my trade-in appraised. She stayed gone for more than an hour. I began to wander around the dealership and found her laughing it up with a slick looking guy in the "tower". He was the "manager". It seems there was a problem: the vehicle I wanted was not there - another manager was driving it and they were trying to get in back. No one had bothered to let me know. I asked if, by chance, this vehicle was a "demo" and they said it was. I asked How many miles are on it?" "6,000" was the reply. I said "That is not a new car". They said "It most cerainly is, it has never been titled". So much for the integrity of that dealership.

My Review of Bill Heard Chevrolet Co:
My son went to see about a car . I was called because he needed a co-signer he was told . I was told by salesman my credit was ok .i had been paying on my home for more than 20 years and another car for over 5 years with no problems.
My son had no credit history i was told . So i could buy the car in my name and after he had been in the us army a while we could put it in his name.
I told him he did not need a car because his unit was going to iraq in 6 weeks,I told myself it might be the last thing i could do for him so i said ok
When we finally got to the finance person many hours later i was given all these papers to sign. I sat right there and asked the lady if the amount on the paper i was signing was the total i was paying for the car, she said YES ( the sticker price on the car was 14000.00 the paper had 20000.00 total . I thought 6000.00 was finances.) SHE DID NOT bother to tell me that was before finance charges
A 14000.00 dollar car is going to cost me 30000.00 (19% interest rate )because i did not read all the paper work. I found out when i went back my credit was no good . The other 6000.00 i was paying for the car was like buying a house i had to pay like points to get someone to finance me . I had never heard such a thing in my life.
I also found out later if my son had got the car in his name they could not have him pay 19% finance charge because he was going to iraq.
Please anyone thinking of getting a new car please read all the paper work. Take it home if need be just make sure before you sign. ( Are finance person was a white haired older lady that could have been my grandmother Dont trust anyone.
I went back many times with questions but was just given the run around.
Dont make the same mistakes i did. thanks for reading

My Review of Bill Heard Chevrolet Co:
I wouldn't buy a vehicle from this lot of crooks if they were the last dealership on earth. I'd rather walk, or, better yet, take a bus.....

I would recommend dealing with Glenn Smith Chevrolet in Opelika, AL. They are only 30 minute away.......
