My Review of Bob Tyler:
The first time I went to Bob Tyler Toyota, I was told that the price of the vehicle may go up the following month - sort of felt pressured at first, but I waited till the following month only to find out that Toyota had removed their incentives. It did in fact go up. I am a realistic person so ... heres a tip when car buying at Bob Tyler Toyota or any other dealership. - understand that these sales people don't make as much money as you think, yes they get paid, they need to WORK for it - so go in with the mutual understanding that you want to save and they don't want to spend 6 hours with a customer to make $25-$50. I have found that going in to buy a car and presenting the offer that you want the salesperson to get paid and that you want to save - so to meet you in the middle. It usually smoothes the process out. Don't waste your time with arguing BLUE BOOK - I did my research, dealerships don't use Blue Book because it is merely a guide! Nothing is set in stone! be realistic on your trade and payments and in my experience they do what they can to meet you where you need to be.
I shopped the other Toyota dealerships in the area - Addendums and price add-ons, low trade value, haggling, limited selection. I was intructed to get the LOWEST price in writing - i brought it back to Bob Tyler Toyota and they found a vehicle that was identical (different in color) but still beat the other price by $1000. For an extra $1000 off, i'll drive a white car over a black any day of the week.
