My Review Of Bobby Wood Chevrolet:

This is not a review of Robert the service advisor. He seemed like a really nice guy and was only the bearer of bad news. I only spoke with him on the phone during the week that my truck was at Bobby Wood Chevrolet. I had to have it towed there because the transmission was non-functional. The transmission had been repaired by another Chevy dealer 8 months and 11,000 miles earlier. I was thinking it would be a warranty item (12 months, 12,000 miles on a certified repair), but because the original repair was done 400 miles away and a chevy warranty shouldn't matter just because it's another chevy dealer doing the repair, I had my 2007 Silverado with 95,300 miles towed to Bobby Wood. It sat there for a week while Chevrolet investigated my problem. I had to pay Bobby Wood Chevrolet a $93 service fee to repeat back to me exactly what I told them over the phone, which was reverse works, and forward works if you pull it down to 1 or 2. They wanted a $600 diagnostic fee which would be in addition to the repair cost, or a rebuild would be $2,900 plus the cost of the broken parts, or a remanufactured unit for $2,800. Chevrolet offered to pay for the repair if they determined it was somehow connected to the previous repair, minus the $600 diagnostic fee. There was no guarantee that Chevrolet would cover anything after I paid the $600, and not wanting to gamble $600 on the slim chance that Chevrolet would agree to help me, I decided not to invest any more time, money or effort at Bobby Wood. They could have helped a little I'm certain. They could have done something to make me want to come back, but they didn't seem interested in doing anything other than what Chevrolet offered. I was willing to meet them half way on the repair cost since it had less than 100,000 miles on the truck, and less than 12 months or 12,000 miles since the last transmission repair. As it turns out, I had it towed to a GMC dealer about 30 miles away, who fixed the transmission for $750, gave me a loaner car while the work was being done, and apologized for my inconvenience in dealing with this issue. Where do you think I'll shop the next time I'm looking for another automobile?

Great salesman and very friendly person was very helpful and was not pushy at all talked and let me know the price answered all questions and let me make the decision I wanted with out making me uncomfortable or nervous or pressured. The purchase was a great experience, love my new used ride. THANKS

My Review Of Bobby Wood Chevrolet:

The dealer lists Sunday Sales hours along with others on their website. As I and a number of other customers that drove on and off their lot during that time found they are in fact not open on Sunday. This website is the only one that seems to accurately report their hours as the major search engines and their own hours report different times that they are open. There are no posted hours on the dealership itself.

I have taken it upon myself to sincerely apologize for the inconvienence you suffered Sunday. I am the Internet Manager for our dealership and it is solely my mistake and oversight for not accurately showing our hours on the website. Our policy is that we are open from those hours on the last Sunday of each month, and some Sunday's a few in our sales staff voluntarily show up to open the store, but we do not consistantly stay open every Sunday. Since we changed our policy from all Sundays to one a month, I failed to update the website, which caused you such inconvience. We are currently working on ordering our hours to be posted on our front door, which is something we should have had, and I will have our website update within minutes. We sincerely apologize for the inconvienence caused, and regret that we will not be doing business with you. I completely understand and sympathize with your irratation at this situation, as I am sure I would feel the same. If there is anything we can do to make it up to you, please know that we would be happy to do so. I (we) sincerely thank you for taking the time to inform us of this major oversight so it can be fixed, so that no one else has to suffer that inconvienence from now on.

Purchased a used Jeep Wrangler from Bobby Woods Chevrolet. I was pleased with the transaction from start to finish. Both Scott Nichols and Doug Gillespie were very helpful and went beyond expectation during the sale. I have used Bobby Woods since 1997 and our family has bought Chevy's and had great service. This is the first time I purchased a used vehicle and not a Chevrolet, yet I feel confident Bobby Woods will back any vehicle they sale. Thanks for such a great experience!

Today, I called for a service appointment on a moment's notice. Cathy Whiten worked me in and got two poeple on my car to get me out before school let out so I could pick up my grandchildren from school and my husband could get out of town on an unscheduled trip. I was in and out in no time and I really appreciated the attention to my needs. This was only the second time I had had my Equinox serviced, and they really don't know me, but went out of their way to help me out.

I appreciated the help!
