My Review of Boch Toyota:
Don't get me wrong - Boch won't deprive you of the classic experience of stupid showroom theatrics in the course of trying to stick you with an uncompetitive price. They did the industry standard schtick of bringing in "the boss" to whine about how "I'd love to give it to you for the price you want, but I can't!". They played the classic game of wearing you down through attritions - making you sit there for a long time in the hope that you'll surrender on their terms. They even pulled out some of the "new" breakthroughs, like acting like their feelings are hurt because you won't pay their price. But the tug-of-war over price was only the beginning of the fun.

The really good part is the financing. They trotted out a rude, smarmy kid with a tie to try to sell us a ton of features we didn't want and subtly insult us as we turned down each one. But the best part of the financing was the Bernie Madoff special - a payment "plan" where you pay all the interest up front, for the entire 60 months, and only afterwards start to pay down principle. This is like paying income tax on your income tax. Oh yeah - and the interest rate was putrid. The beauty of paying interest rates for all 60 months in the first year of the loan is that once you've paid off the interest itself, you may wish you could refinance with someone who isn't sleazy, but it's pointless: if you did refinance, you'd end up paying new interest on a loan where you currently have only principle to pay off.

And icing on the cake: the non-service that followed. They said we could get a number of "free" oil changes as a booby-prize for buying the car. What they didn't mention was that it would be really hard to schedule the oil changes, because the oil changes were mysteriously so booked up. It's like being offered a free dessert only to find that the pastry chef is out for the rest of the night chain-smoking in the alley.

New commercial: We can sell you a used Toyota for more because your costs are more. That's only natural! Their name is Ernie Bock Junior. Come on down - there's one of you born every minute!!

My Review of Boch Toyota:
They lie when they tell you you pay less. They charged me over $17000 dollars for a used car purchased in 2007. To add insult to injury the service depart put a tire on the vehicle that was the wrong size and didn't want to change it, the driver side door would hit the panel when I closed it and that was because the panel was not the right size. Lastly and worst of all when they were conducting the inspection they spilled something acidic that damaged the paint on the front hood of my vehicle and refused to repair it. At first they didn't want to repair anything but because it was under the Lemon Law they had no choice, but as for the hood damage they denied it and had it not been for the fact that I had a witness with me when I purchased the vehichle the outcome would have been different. They still didn't want to take responsibility of it so I sued them for the cost to have the vehicle stripped and repainted in that area. To everyone that does business with the Boch service department, PLEASE NOTE that during the lawsuit, the mechanic purchased the repair order and if you're familiar with it (it's the same everywhere you go) they have you initial a spot to authorizing them to diagnosis the problem and call you back with the info and an estimate. Well at court the mechanic stated that when I initialed in that spot it was actually for a "mechanic's lien". So when you initial that spot where all that small print is you are signing a mechanic's lien not an authorization for them to do a diagnosis. They are rude, rip off artist. Not only they it takes all day and they expect you to either waste your whole day there while the work goes undone or try and push renting a car from them. I took my car elsewhere regardless of having the warranty with them and I didn't care that I had to pay a deductible for being out of the network. They claim that you pay less for their vehicles but the trade off is the poor service and misrepresentations. Save yourself a trip to court from having to sue them, go elsewhere

My Review of Boch Toyota:
I bought a 2006 scion tc from boch about a year ago they were horrible. I had to put 4 new tires on the car as soon as i got it the brakes were gone and on top of that they had to replace my wind shield due to a crack. The car ddmt come wit a manual and when i asked for 1 they said it would take 2 weeks. I never recieved it. The dealer was so rude he was forcing my mother and i to take the car home without discussing it with my dad. They promised me a spare key and i still havent recieved i was better off getting a brand new car from clair then going to boch. My car cost 8000 more than what it should have. Never again

My Review of Boch Toyota:
This dealership screwed me big time. I went at the end of the month and they took the keys to my car and virtually bullied me into buying my car. At the time of purchase, they tacked on points to my loan and hidden fees up to $7000 over the purchase price. The car left the lot not inspected and when we went to inspect it, they refused. It actually cost me $1000 to make the car road-safe as the tires were completely bald. The second set of keys I was promised never materialized, the free oil changes never came either.

The loan that we ended up with was not what was discussed. If you want to get a terrible deal, then head to Boch.

My Review of Boch Toyota:
They are awful at what they do and I'm surprised at the fact that they even sell so many cars. The sales manager is an arse and made me feel like I shouldn't be buying from them. I couldn't believe that the sales manager was insulting me while trying to make a sale.

My Review of Boch Toyota:
I entered Boch Toyota about 8:00 on a Wednesday night with my wife and 4 kids. Now if this isn't a party broadcast, "Hey, we're looking to buy a car," what is? First, nobody came forward to help us. Where were the sales guys lurking with jackyl-like eagerness?

A sales rep, John McDaniel was finally made available, or something. We went to his desk. Interestingly, he went around the corner to obtain extra chairs for my kids, instead of just grabbing a few from close-by empty sales desks. This suggested to me that salesmen's "turf" is sacred at Boch, and not to be transgressed!*

I told John I was interested in the Highlander and the Sienna, and wanted to (1) get better acquainted with Toyota's confusing system of trim packages & options, and (2) take home the brochures which listed them out. The dealership didn't have them! He ended up xeroxing the "trim, options, and accessories" pages from his own desk copy.

How...informative.

Considering that he also excused himself TWICE to handle a cellphone call (each one seemed to be over 3 minutes), I did not return to Boch to consider a new-car purchase.

*I contrast this with Toyota-of-Watertown, where I eventually bought a Sienna XLE Limited. There, when my primary sales cotact was not available, another salesman stepped in with additional information and kept the sale moving forward.

My Review of Boch Toyota:
they do have the best prices, but you have to go in with a game plan to stay out of their traps. they will try anything and everything to get you to pay more. we turned the tables on them and did every car sales trick back on them and they weren't happy. we got the car for the price we wanted to pay and they got some of their own medicine. judging from these comments, it didn't change their way of doing business, but we got a good deal. if you can't play at their level of the game, which is extreme, you must go elsewhere.

My Review of Boch Toyota:
Boch Toyota gave us a good price on a 2009 Rav4 however I would pay more to go somewhere else. I wanted to take the night to discuss the offer with my husband and come back the next morning. By the time my husband got to see the car it was late and we hadn't eaten dinner so I just wanted to get out of there discuss the purchase and come back the next morning. They were so pushy and wouldn't let us come back the next day. We asked for the keys back to the car that we were trading in and they joked about throwing our keys on the roof...not a very funny joke. So the sales guy asked the manager to come over and talk us into the deal but I refused to buy a car without taking a night to think about it. I told them I would see them tomorrow and asked for the keys of my trade in. It was a simple as them handing me the keys but other "Managers" would come over and try to get us to sit down again. Finally the finance guy came over and tried to take us into his office. I had just told them we would meet with the finance guy in the morning that I wasn't willing to do the paperwork that night. The finance guy says so you didn't just buy this car because that is the impression I was under. Unbelievable...we did not sign anything and NO we had not agreed on that car. We started putting up a stink in front of other customers about getting our keys back before they finally gave them back to us. They were complete jerks. We would have been back in the morning, instead we decided on a Subaru and never went back. That is the second bad experience I had at Boch. I will never go back to one of his dealerships.
