Reason for Visit: Sales (New)
I recommend this dealer: No
My Review of Boch Toyota:
I entered Boch Toyota about 8:00 on a Wednesday night with my wife and 4 kids. Now if this isn't a party broadcast, "Hey, we're looking to buy a car," what is? First, nobody came forward to help us. Where were the sales guys lurking with jackyl-like eagerness?
A sales rep, John McDaniel was finally made available, or something. We went to his desk. Interestingly, he went around the corner to obtain extra chairs for my kids, instead of just grabbing a few from close-by empty sales desks. This suggested to me that salesmen's "turf" is sacred at Boch, and not to be transgressed!*
I told John I was interested in the Highlander and the Sienna, and wanted to (1) get better acquainted with Toyota's confusing system of trim packages & options, and (2) take home the brochures which listed them out. The dealership didn't have them! He ended up xeroxing the "trim, options, and accessories" pages from his own desk copy.
How...informative.
Considering that he also excused himself TWICE to handle a cellphone call (each one seemed to be over 3 minutes), I did not return to Boch to consider a new-car purchase.
*I contrast this with Toyota-of-Watertown, where I eventually bought a Sienna XLE Limited. There, when my primary sales cotact was not available, another salesman stepped in with additional information and kept the sale moving forward.
