My Review of DCH Brunswick Toyota:
My CEL (check engine) and VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) lights came ON, and I took my highlander (2001,V6,limited, 43K miles) to New brunswick Toyota, NJ. They diagonised it($100) - Cleaned the Throttle chamber ($55) + cleaned fuel rail injectors ($150) = total $300+
They didnt give me an option - I specifically asked them if all the services were 'required' - and they told me that everything was 'required' to clear the problem, so I agreed to the service.
Later I came to know (from other service consultant and Yahoo Groups) that this is a common problem with 30+ Toyota highlanders, and only cleaning the throttle chamber would have cleared the problem.
I tried to contact New Brunswick Toyota again, and after many messages, the service consultant called me and mentioned that there might have been a communication problem, and all other services were 'optional' - he offered me a free oil change coupon (which I refused, as I will never go back to them).
I tried to contact the service manager - left him 5 voice mails over 2 weeks - they didnt care.
If possible, stay away from New Brunswick Toyota Service.
