My Review of Burgin Dodge Inc:
Dealer scammed me on sale price for Dodge Dakota. Sticker price was $26,195, then they added $995 for an "appearance and protection package," but they did not mention it in the final deal but added it to the sticker price then wrote it on the buyers contract on a single line rather than separate as it should have been. The sticker price was listed as $27,190 on the buyers contract. I called and got a Robbie Ramsey (in sales) to admit that it was a dealership addendum added on to make up for their having to offer manufacturer's rebates, despite me being told by my sales person that they really performed $995 work of "prep" work to my vehicle to get it ready for us. We found out 1 week after signing the papers they had pulled this stunt on us. I am reporting them to the State of TN attorney general division of consumer affairs, better business bureau, as well as some of the local television stations. If they want to practice this "dealer prep" scam, then it needs to be exposed. See http://www.carbuyingtips.com/scams.htm it is listed as scam # 7 AVOID THIS DEALER. The finance manager (Jim) would not even speak to me about this but ran out of the room when I mentioned it, stating that he had another customer to attend to and that he would have the sales manager come and talk to me about this. You can't trust them at all, and I intend to pursue this until it has great exposure in my town!
