My Review of Cambridge Honda:
Emailed Cambridge Honda about leasing a Civic Coupe.
The person who answers the internet inquiries (Shauna Silva) does not actually sell cars, which seems absolutely ridiculous to me. She did not tell me so until I called to check on a quote she had "confirmed" with her boss. When I arrived, I discovered that not only did she not sell cars, she did not have anything to do with the sales AT ALL. She was just the email person.
So, she found me a sales person, Alex Corella. Concerned that I had been dealing with someone who wasn't involved with sales, I brought out the email quote, which listed all the terms of the lease I was expected, and was immediately reassured that "Of course we will honor it. If that is what they told you, then that is what you will get." He brought around a lovely little Coupe for me to look at. While I was doing that, he went to work out the lease numbers.
I repeatedly asked them to confirm that they were going with the numbers I had emailed that, the numbers they had confirmed. They repeatedly reassured me that it was no problem. Then they came back with the final paperwork listing numbers that were three THOUSAND dollars more than I expected. I just gaped for several moments.
Then I questioned the numbers. They looked confused and took the paperwork back to the finance area and consulted with the computers and each other. Then they came back out and apologized for "misunderstanding" what I had been asking for. I'm not exactly sure how you can misunderstand, "I expect to give you exactly this much money and I will include these fees and then I will pay this much per month to lease this car," but okay.
And as if that wasn't enough, a couple days later I got a call from Alex Corella, asking if he could help me find a car!
My experience at this dealership was so bad I really wish I could rate them in negative numbers.
