A terrible experience this week at LeadCar Honda in Yorkville. We visited Monday night to get info on Passports and Pilots. Salesman was going to get back to us on towing package pricing. Wednesday he gives me prices. Everything looks good. I tell him I am ready to buy. He sends me the quote. $1600 more than what I was told. He said it was for accessories that LeadCar puts on all cars (nitrogen for tires, splash guards, and paint protection). I told him I didn't want them. He says they will be optional for me. Thursday he tells me his manager says they are already installed and can't be taken off, but he is willing to take 50% off those unnecessary accessories. Gee thanks. Half off something I never wanted! Then he tells me the parts department says they don't have the electrical connector I need for the towing package. I spend two hours looking for one on line I can install myself. 30 minutes after purchasing it, my sales rep texts me apologizing for his sales department. They DO have the right connector after all. That was the final straw. This morning I emailed several Honda dealers in the Syracuse/Albany areas. After a few emails and one phone call, I made a purchase for slightly less. LeadCar lost a very loyal customer. I would be cautious using them. More
Please read this review if you want to purchase a used car here. Whatever the price the vehicle is advertised at is not even close to the price you will pay. They will show you the price and then automati car here. Whatever the price the vehicle is advertised at is not even close to the price you will pay. They will show you the price and then automatically ADD in EXTRA FEES ranging from 1300 up to 2000 dollars. These will include a revolutionary paint protectant and "special" tire AIR. When asked to remove these SCAM extras they will say sorry we can't. Please read the reviews of all the people that they have scammed with this. So whatever the car is priced at you should figure about $2000 more. Don't fall for it. It's just simple BAIT & SWITCH. There are tons of other dealers around that are Honest and don't scam people like this. More
