My Review of Carlsen Volvo:
My sales visit was very disappointing. I guess I expected more from a dealership selling european "near luxury" cars, but I felt I was walking into a Chevy dealership. The sales management is very old school and continues to function without truthfulness and directness. I really felt like I could get what I wanted in terms of pricing and selection, but only if I pushed and pushed and pushed. It seemed like they felt like it was their role to push back and push back. Finally, I got tired of playing the game with them.
Go to Fremont Volvo. First get your quote over the internet. They will be upfront and reply via e-mail. I'll bet this is your lowest quote. No muss, no fuss.
The Carlsen guys were just high pressure, cheezy. They offered me a competitive price. I go to look at the car, and they don't have what I want. Will sell me what they have with higher options. I say no, go find me one. They say they can't find one anywhere in the state, and if they could it would be more expensive. I go down the street, and guess what -- there she is exactly like I want at a lower price at the first asking.
