My Review of Celebrity Nissan:
Where do I begin?
I bought a Nissan Murano SL on January 12th from Thomas Gordon at Celebrity Nissan. He led me to believe that the new 2009 Murano's were not coming in until much later in the year. It turns out they had some in a few weeks later. No big deal, I needed a car quickly, I love the car i picked out, but lets just say he was far from being ethical and honest.
I paid to have the tags for the new car delivered by mail (Jan. 12th) which is standard operating procedure. Its March 13th, and they still have not arrived.
I called Mr. Gordon four days (friday) before my temporary tag expired the first time, to verify that my new tags were on the way. He said that they were on the way. So I waited until monday, the day my tags expired, and the permanent tags did not arrive in the mail.
I called Celebrity Nissan I was told Thomas Gordon was very very ill and would not be in for several days. So I asked to speak with the manager Bryant Hamilton. After I was told he was in meetings for over 2 hours I finally took it upon myself to drive down to the dealership. As I walked up to Mr. Hamilton, seemingly not busy, I overheard him telling the receptionist to keep hanging up on any customers who might be calling to speak with him. I introduced myself, he looked embarrassed and started to help me get a new temporary tag to replace my expired one.
Almost one month later, my tags still have not arrived. I called Mr. Gordon on Sunday, and he tells me that Marry (the tag person) is not in today, but to call back Monday morning and he will get it figured out. So I call back on Monday and I'm told that my tags were mailed out last Thursday and would arrive no later than this coming Thursday. So again, like an idiot, I wait on the tags to arrive. My 2nd temporary tag expires March 12th (wednesday). I called Thursday morning to arrange to pick up a new temporary tag, Thomas Gordon is out of the office, as is Bryant Hamilton. I am transfered to Marry the license person, who informs me that my tag was mailed 30 days ago and she has no idea why they would not have arrived. I tell her that Thomas told me they were mailed last Thursday and she got very defensive, and told me just to wait for the tags. She said she would write me another temporary tag if her manager approved it, but that she would be breaking the law.
Once again I drive down to the dealership. The manager on staff Robert Barret, tells me that he legally cannot write me another tag, but tells me not to worry, because his tags are expired also, so I shouldn't worry about it. He verifies that my tags were mailed out last thursday and not 30 days ago like Marry had claimed. So I tell him I'm not leaving without a tag, he insists its Florida law, that he can't issue me a third temporary tag. So I asked him to take responsibility for any tickets I might incur for expired tags. He puts it in writing on a piece of letterhead and I leave because I'm about to be late for a business lunch. The mail man comes, no tags. I call again, this time Thomas Gordon is there, and I informed him of what took place and he told me he would call me right back. He has not called. I called again, and now he's with a client trying to make a sale to some poor unsuspecting consumer.
Celebrity Nissan can't even get me a tag that I paid for over 2 months ago! They are dishonest, and will treat you like garbage the second you write them a check. buyer beware, this place sucks.
I still don't have a tag, and nobody there gives a damn. Worst customer service ever, and very shady people. Also, Bryant Hamilton looks like a washed up Mark McGrath plus 30 lbs., and I'd say its a classic case of shit rolling down the hill. This is exactly why people despise car salesman.
