My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
Total scam. If Suzuki ever wants to rehab reputation, the home office best get to work at Chad Franklin/Legends Dealerships of deceit. Do not darken their door or they will destroy your credit and life as you knew it. All verbal statements & media ads are deceptive/bold face falsehoods.

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
My story is almost verbatim the others above about Chad Franklin's Suzuki dealership now called Legend Suzuki of Kansas City. I called about the $59/per month deal, to be told at the dealership it was $43/mo for 6 months, then trade in on a new one when the 2008s were in with the same deal for a year, then again for a 2009, and so on for 4 years or till I wanted to keep the car. I bought a 2007 XL7 in Aug 07, paid full sticker price, got about 1/3 what my trade-in was worth, and Scott Frehricks told me that negative equity would not be a problem, because loyalty incentives and rebates would cover all the depreciation on the vehicle. He said this was their version of a Certified Used Car / Lease program, to get low mileage late model Suzukis back in. I asked all the right questions, I thought, and the Sales Manager even signed a paper that they would redo the same deal for me in 6 months (the sales manager left/was fired shortly afterwards). I told them no way could I afford the $735/mo payments if they didn't redo the deal and I did not want to do it without certain reassurance I would only be paying $43/mo net, and they said not to worry about the 21% interest or the high payments because I would never be making those payments anyway. We were working on building our credit up and so this was a great opportunity to do so.

They were supposed to cut me a check to subsidize my payments for 6 months ($735-43 x 6, plus $400 for gas for 6 months) and I had to chase after them several times to try to get that full amount. My first check was $1373 which was "a clerical error". It took months to get that resolved. Now it's time (past time really) to do it all over again. My credit score is higher but there was an error (mortgage dual reported), they said they can't do anything till I get that fixed. I'm not sure I want to now with all the horror stories, I just want to get out from owing some $29,000 on a $20k or so car, at 21% interest. I don't mind the payments so much as the interest and fact I will end up paying multiples of the sticker after 72 months.

The dealership has lied and used deceptive advertising to lure customers in, and get the banks to finance people who will most likely end up defaulting on their loans and runing their credit - I especially applaud (sarcastically) the statement "don't worry about it, you'll never have to actually make that payment."

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
Chad Franklin Suzuki(also known as Legends Suzuki)
I was scammed into their Gas test market deal. I know have a $26000.00 debt. And i found out that they sent false income info to the bank the loan is through. They did this to my sister as well. They submtted my income to wachovia as 3800.00 but my income is 2200.00 they didn't verify this info with my employer and i don't remember them asking me for a pay stub either. They told me as along as my credit was ok i could swap out for the next car. well my credit didn't changed except i paid off a bill and they said i no longer qualified and i needed a cosigner or a down paymtn, so how did i qualify the first time? i honestly thought that Legends suzuki(chad franklin suzuki) was going to be making the greater portion of the the payments as they promised. i even kept track of the gas as they requsted for this test market...but they never asked me for the records i kept on the gas, also when i spoke to a rep there she told me that my information was combined with my sisters...well thats impossible because we never cosigned each others contract. Please stay away from this dealership. It's a bunch of lies...do not fall for their trap.
The deal they offered me was $49 mnthly payments

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
Every promotion is a scam. I am also a victim of the Free for Life Program. I was assured without doubt of no cost to me whatsoever, and now it's time for me to exchange the vehicle and they want to place the blame on the economy/recession for why the negative equity is being applied and after you return the car within the next 6 months the bank will refuse to finance because by then the negative equity would be over ten thousand dollars. They failed to disclose any of this at the time of sale. Trapping my husband and I in a balloon financing plan that crazy and one that we would have never agreed to if we had known. Our credit is excellent and we could have purchased any vehicle at a fraction of the cost and lower payments. This was a win-win situation for Chad. I can't believe he is the jerk behind all of this......

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
I was lured into this dealership by their ad campaign on television. Of course the offer sounded too good to be true. I called them to ask about the program and to get some answers and they told me how the program worked and gave me all of the right answers. So I went in to see what the catch was and see what it was really all about. I was met by a salesman (Brian Sims) upon arrival and again the program was explained by him then backed up by the General Manager (Nick Hickman) and the Finance Manager (Scott Frerichs). No payments for life was the program...Drive a new car every year and never make another payment. Of course the first thing that came to mind was what about the negative equity in the vehicle at trade in time? Every one in the dealership assured me that this was not a problem and that it would NOT be carried over into the next vehicle purchased. They have maintained this charade for the past year, every time I've taken my vehicle in for service I was reassured that the deal would be honored just as it was explained. Well now it's time to trade and every one I've dealt with there in the past year is GONE. Now they are refusing to honor the deal as it was agreed to. EVERYONE IN THE DEALERSHIP LIED TO ME TO GET ME TO SIGN THE CONTRACT.

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
Chad Franklin Suzuki aka, Legend Suzuki of Kansas City, dba as Chad Franklin Enterprises. They use bait, switch, free gas, 49 dollar payments, or no payments programs to sell new Suzukis. All these programs insure that the customer pays twice the cars value initially, then when you go to trade the car in you find you are thousands of dollars upside down. These so called "programs" are scams to take your money and wreck you financially. This dealership will tell you every lie in the book to get you to sign a contract. They recently fired their Finance Manager. He was a liar, but he was also a convenient scapegoat for the dealership. This individual could not have made the deals he made without the full knowledge and backing of the General Manager, Suzuki of America, Suzuki Financial Services, and the dealership owner. If you are lured into this dealership BEWARE and BE PREPARED. Get everything in writing.

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
The dealership did not honor the deal they presented last year. The employee who presented the deal (Scott) was fired a week before I was supposed to go in and continue with the deal of swapping the 2007 model with 2008 with the negative equity the responsibility of the dealership. Now they say we never said that. Now I cannot get a hold of the GM or the owner to discuss any alternatives. Some service huh?

My Review of Chad Franklin Suzuki:
Scammed Scammed Scammed and left with a $32,750 car loan that they promised wouldn't happen. Lied to by Nick Hickman when he brokered our original deal, and then Scott Frerichs brokered another deal a year later, but refused to put it into writing so we could come back in another year with proof of his offer. Check out www.kctalk.com and search for Chad Franklin to see over 45 pages of complaints against them, then check with the Missiouri and Kansas Attorney General's office to see all the complaints formally filed. Verified with Corporate Headquarters at American Suzuki that they do not have any such incentives as Chad Franklin (also called Legends Suzuki)claims to reimburse customers for negative equity.
