My Review of Checkered Flag:
My 40,000 miles service was done 12/2003 and cost over $300. Five week later the car wouldn't start. Stan at the dealership said that they only warrantied parts, not service. The towing fee and repairs would be my costs unless they caused the problem. I had the vehicle towed to a former car repair shop that my husband has used for over 20 years. They discovered that the spark plugs were the original and that was the reason the vehicle would not start. I had just paid $64 for parts and more for labor for that service in December at Checkered Flag. Keith the service manager did not return my calls, so I filed a complaint with VW of America and sent the dirty spark plugs as proof. VW of America didn't help with the problem since a "third party" was involved and they conveniently threw the dirty spark plugs away. Is this customer service?
