My Review of CherryHill Subaru/Jeep/KIA:
On Thursday July 14, 2005, my husband and I went to the Cherry Hill Triplex in Cherry Hill, NJ to see if we could trade in our 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee for something smaller and newer.

We eventually were able to come to terms with the dealer and agreed to take our new 2005 Liberty Sport home that night.
One of the keys for the Sport was missing and presumably lost, but we were told to bring the vehicle back the following morning to have it detailed; upon which time we would receive the second key.

I took the car over on Friday and was given a story that someone had indeed lost the key and that they were trying to track it down. For that I waited 90 minutes. I was asked to wait until Monday July 18; at which time a representative would call and I could pick up the second key.

I received a voice mail at 10:14 am Monday July 18th stating that I could come by and get the key. I was at my job at the time but went to the Cherry Hill Triplex at approximately 11:45.

At that time I was told that I would not be given a new key because it would cost the dealer money and that if I waited “5 or 6 minutes” everything would be worked out.
Finally at about 12:30, after asking many times what the status was on the key, I completely lost my temper in the showroom. I admit it was not the most civil thing to do but my time is as valuable as the next person’s.

I was only there to pick up a key – I did not show up without warning – I was called.
The sales manager then took me to a small office and tried to imply that all of this was my fault and that it was a Monday morning, they were busy, I was being unreasonable and that I should just wait. He also berated me for blowing up in his showroom and that I embarrassed him.
Only when the General Manger of the Cherry Hill Triplex heard me yelling, did he come out, ask what the problem was and ordered the sales manager to cut the key.

That’s all I wanted…

I certainly and greatly appreciate the help of the General Manager, who I only know as John. He stepped in and took control of a situation that was ridiculous, infuriating and insulting.

We did not purchase the most expensive car on the lot, but I would expect the same respect that we received when we purchased our original Grand Cherokee.
If I had been told that it would have been a half hour or so wait while they cut and programmed the key that would have been quite acceptable.

Instead, I was given the runaround by the sales manager and treated like a naïve and gullible woman.

I am not asking for anything from Jeep or Cherry Hill Triplex, I just wanted my experience to be documented. But there is no reason why I had to wait for exactly (1) hour for a car key.

Our temporary tags expire on August 8, 2005, I certainly hope that Cherry Hill Triplex Jeep does a better job at obtaining our new plates and notifies us in a timelier and more organized manner than they did for something as simple as a car key.

I will say that this is and will be my only business with Cherry Hill Triplex Jeep.
