My Review of Chevrolet 73:
I was looking for a car to buy in February, after visiting this dealership they had an Audi A6 on their lot that looked great at a decent price. I was skeptical because the check engine light was on, the dealership assured me that it was due to low gas pressure in the tank and it was nothing to worry about. I was not comfortable and declined to buy the car. I was badgered by staff for two days to complete the deal after I decided not to go tbrough it. I got in writing that they would fix the problem and proceeded to buy the car. After my first oil change I began to hear a loud clicking sound in the engine I took the car to two separate mechanics including the Audi dealership who informed me that the motor was BAD! Rod barrings were chipping off and there were pieces of them in the oil pan. Two separate mechanics explained that this process takes time to happen and if I never heard the noise before then "someone" used a thicker oil type to quiet out the clicking so that I wouldn't know that something was wrong with the engine. This dealership has multiple complaints as well as civil suit filed against them by the state of NJ in November of 2006. Buy at your own risk. No integrity......

I purchased a new corvette from Chevrolet 73. After checking out all of the local delaers includiing the "Number 1" dealer in new jersey, I bought mine at Chevy 73. I understand your frustration but they only seem to have a few complaints? Were you past due when you traded your car??????

I recently traded in my car and got a 2007 silverado. 2 months after and I'm getting late notices that I am 2 months behind on my old car payment. I call up Chevy 73 trying to find out what happened, I leave voicemails, call the next day, then I'm told the guy who handles this is on vacation for 2 weeks and hes the only one who can help you with payoffs. So I call back the bank who keeps calling me for payments on my old car, they tell me now my account with them is going into collections unless I get Chevy 73 to overnight a check. I call Chevy 73 back and am desperate to speak with anyone, but what happens? The "finance" guy who I negotiated with the night I bought the truck tells me "Well the guy you need to talk to isnt here right now let me send you to his voicemail." -click- I call back and the receptionist, who was actually nice, tells me that all it is all day is people calling about payoffs and none of the guys want to deal with it. I filed a complaint with the Berlin police and I'm like complaint #250! The police told me so many people have complained about Chevy73, and not just about payoffs. Don't buy a vehicle there!!! They are sweet to you when your a new customer coming through the door but after your bought they act like they have no time for you.

My Review of Chevrolet 73:
They pulled a classic bait and switch. I was looking for a Chevy Silverado Diesel. The newspaper ad had one listed at $27,995, down from an MSRP of $36,995, with "45 available at similar savings". The advertised truck was a work truck, with unrealistic rebates virtually no one could qualify to get. They then proceeded to show me trucks, with no where near similar savings, at a consist $6000 above what I knew to be a fair price, since I had done my research. I was able to purchase the truck I wanted at another dealer about a week later at the price I knew to be fair, and $6000 less than the "best they can do" at Chevy 73.

I purchased a 1998 Chev. S10 for my son for $3,000.00 on a Friday, by Sunday the motor was making a load banging noise. After charging me $60 to tow it and $90 to put on a diagnosis machine, they told me it would cost $5,500 for a new motor. I bought this vehicle "as is" so there was no warranty (even though one would assume that it would last longer than two full days). Chevrolet 73 misleads customers by stating on their recording that they INSPECT ALL VEHICLES. Did they inspect this vehicle? Wouldn't they have known the motor was bad at the time of sale? If they didn't inspect the vehicle as they claim, they mislead customers in believing that their used cars are inspected. BEWARE!! They did offer to give me $1500 as a trade in for another vehicle. I would rather pay for a new motor than have to deal with this dealership ever again!
