"Stick to your standards!"

I owned an '01 Camry from 2003 and was in no hurry to replace it, but wanted to checkout an upgrade. On my first visit, I felt I was not being heard as to what I wanted. I sat thru offers on new cars and more expensive used vehicles before leaving. A few days later I was called by the salesperson to say a vehicle had come in meeting my guidelines and they would call me when the car was ready to be shown. That "callback" took just over 4 weeks (See, I really wasn't in a rush). On my 2nd. visit I was thoroughly annoyed by the number of answers/errors that came from "the boss" when I asked for the bottom line payment. I did like the vehicle and opted to make the purchase, but the amount of time it took and the variety of responses I got from the salesperson really left a bad taste in my mind and on my tongue. Eagerness to make the sale seems to preclude serving the buyer. I would recommend this dealership, but only with a healthy warning to the buyer.

"Get Everything In Writing"

They are friendly and work to earn your trust and your business, but get everything in writing or you will be in for surprises. Returned my leased Prius and drove away in new leased RAV4. The RAV4 didn't have the same options as the one they first showed. (It was sold by the time I came back to sign the paperwork), but I was told I would get all the equipment the original car had. I was also told that they looked at the Prius and that there would not be any damage charges for the scratches on the bumper. Surprise, those two items were not in writing. So I received a bill for: late fees $36.89 Excessive wear $ 287.00 Disposition Fee $350.00 Taxes $56.53 TOTAL $730.42 I called Toyota Financial Services and they reduced the bill to $250.41 (excessive wear charge) I also never received the cross bars for the roof rack I was promised, again, not in writing. Not the worst dealer, not bad guys, just not the best either. This was my second lease with them, I guess I expected more.

"Relax, You're with family"

Michael Shraf really explains things, slowly and clealy--not pushy or overbearing!! . No need to feel confused. You can trust him because he speaks to you as he would to a " family member". This is my 5th car with him and really, I'd never change?? He's the top saleman there --I CAN SEE WHY !!:-)

"First time lease"

A great experience leasing for the first time. Saw an ad that I was interested in and visited the dealership. I was greeted by Jose A. , a salesman. He was very helpful an courteous in securing me a lease which was acceptable and fair. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

"ALL SMILES!!!"

Being first time brand new car buyers was very scary but I had the greatest experience. I reached out online and later phoned in to be connected to Janell, who by the way is the sweetest! She connected me with my sales rep Shamus and he is by far the most down to earth and practical rep I have had the pleasure of dealing with!! I did some research before choosing cityworldtoyota and I am very happy with my choices!! He answered every question and concern I had. I love my new ride!

My overall buying experience was excellent. My sales rep Jimmy Johnson was very good and knowledgeable. He helped me through the buying process seemlessly. I am very happy with my vehicle and I am grateful to Jimmy for his expertise. "Horrible customer service"

I thought Gene Harris was a good salesman (although making many mistakes on the paper work) initially but was i wrong. I had some title issues as I closed on a lease of a 2014.5 Camry as a CT resident and Gene Harris was not only unhelpful but so unprofessional that i am at still shaken. He initially had me sign a contract with incorrect mileage (car had 58 but contract said 8), had my address incorrectly typed out even though it was simply copying my address from my drivers license and even made some off color jokes about whether i could speak some korean to his manager because he would get a kick out of it (wow, xxxxx but i chalked it up to perhaps some off color humor) but this was nothing compared with the call i just had. I had been speaking with Cathy in the title department and she was trying to help me get my title issue sorted with Gene on a 3 way call. He claimed he could not help, "did not understand the process", and it was up to me as the owner now to sort it out. If that were not bad enough, he continued on a xxxxx rant to his colleague about whether he should be sending his wife over to me to pick up a form since he was at work. Un-believable that someone would even utter those words on a call with a customer. It was now left with me to figure out on my own. Clearly, he didnt care after he closed the deal and got paid his commission. By far the worst customer service experience i have ever had and i will never, ever deal with a company that employs xxxxx, xxxxx individuals such as Gene Harris.

"Shamus is An expert in car sales."

As with all the dealerships, expect to wait between negotiations. long time... sale parson shamus was helpful. every step to the purchase was waiting, waiting. wasted lots of my valuable time in waiting.

"Terrible time at City World ---Great at New Rochelle Toyota"

I went to turn in my lease and tried to purchase another car at City World Toyota in the Bronx. Just a terrible experience all around. The salesman was pushy and didn't listen to us at all, he was trying to lock us into another lease (we wanted to purchase this time around)! After two plus hours of nothing but him talking nonsense and dismissing other dealers in the area's offers we decided to leave. We went to New Rochelle Toyota and less than one and one half hours later (travel time included, LOL), we were the proud owners of a 2014.5 Magnetic Toyota Camry (same car we attempted to purchase at City World)! Purchase price was LESS, down payment was LESS and monthly payments were LESS, $ 86.00 less for the same finance period. Jean and Darnell at New Rochelle Toyota were the best, it was like night and day. New Rochelle Toyota made it a pleasant buying experience all around.
