My Review of Clark and White Lincoln Mercury:
I had a very undesirable experience with Clark and White Lincoln Mercury in Newton, Mass.
One year ago, I purchased a used 2002 Ford Taurus Wagon with less than 20K miles. They delivered the car with a State of Massachusetts inspection ... they performed the inspection. About six months later, my wife and kids were travelling on the freeway, and had a blowout that almost caused a serious accident.
When I took the wheel into a tire repair shop, the mechanic showed me the inside of the rim had a large dent that had been hammered then sealed with glue to the tire. The damage was so obvious from the backside of the rim. The dealer inspected the vehicle, and aligned the vehicle, yet decided to deliver the vehicle with this saftey defect.
When I went back to the dealer, they did not care. In fact, they were upset that another potential customer heard the story and left the dealer quiclky.
This dealer is more concerned with saving several hundered dollars then delivering a safe vehicle. And, this dealer is willing to attach a saftey inspection sticker to an unsafe vehicle.
