My Review of Classic Automobiles, Inc.:
Prior to purchasing the vehicle I bought from Classic I spoke to the sales person, Tracey, she was most helpful and accommodating. My primary concern was whether the pre-owned vehicle I was interested in had any damage or had been repaired. The car had a clean CarFax report but that does not tell the whole story. When I next spoke to her I was told the car was clean except for two small chips that would be touched up. We worked out the details and I picked up the vehicle the following day. The car looked good in the bright sun and trusting that I was dealing with straight folks I accepted the car. The next day I took it by my body shop and when they looked the car over they detected work on both the right rear quarter and the hood. In the shade the work was apparent, looked recent and was of questionable quality. Concerned about the possibility of long term problems, I immediately called Tracey who assured me they would do whatever was necessary to make me happy. She told me the sales manager would contact me in the morning. Without going into all the details, Tracey's assurance of satisfaction turned out to be limited to a check for $500 on poor work that will cost me $1,900 to fix properly. They would not take the car back after a mere 28 hours and just getting the $500 was an ordeal. Of course, they had no knowledge of the work. When you purport to run a high quality business and you promise to make a customer happy you should do just that especially when the one thing the customer said they wanted to ensure was that the car had not had any body work done on it.
