My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
I ordered a set of bmw floor mats and was assured I'd have them well before X-mas. I went to pick them up the day after they should have been in house and they told me they were on backorder. I said," you assured me I'd have them for X-mas. This was supposed to be a gift."The woman at the desk gave me this smarmy look and didn't even apologize. She had a " sorry what do you want me to do" attitude. Any other dealer would have apologized profusely and probably would have given me a discount on the mats when they did arrive.

I don't know what's with some of the folks at this particular dealership, but I've noticed there seems to be a real air of arrogance and indifference there. I bought my first BMW there and was considering upgrading to a 2006 3 series in a few months but I'm definately not buying from them. They just lost my business.

Meanwhile I called a dealership in Marlton New Jersey to see if I could get the mats. They had one set in stock and the manager was so nice he even went out of his way to stay open a little longer so I could pick them up-knowing I had to drive from New York to Jersey to get them. It was like night and day at these dealerships.

I was also annoyed at competition and sports in Greenwich because they failed to tell me their parts department moved to Port Chester. So I made a trip to Greenwich for nothing. And to add insult to injury when I tried to cancel the mats that were on back order and had finally arrived after X-mas another arrogant parts salesman tells me I will probably be charged a restocking fee!

I'm in the media business and I have a lot of contacts-you can best believe I'm spreading the word. Memo to the folks at Competition and Sports in Greenwich--There's a reason why it's called Customer Service. If you don't want to provide it--you shouldn't be working in the business.

I'm extremely disappointed with some of the folks in the parts department at Competion and Sports BMW and judging from these other posts so are a lot of other people. Trust me --when you treat customers shoddy word gets around.

My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
ordered a car in aug. he said it would take two months for delivery. i later find out that it will take 3 months but he didn't even bother to tell me til 1month within waiting after i kept buggin him for the tracking number. i feel that he just sold me a car without having the slot for the car and gave me a sept slot for a november delivery. if he was straight forward i could of just ordered the car elsewhere as they were not the cheapest place either.
it's his tone too that he is doing you a favor to sell you the car.

My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
I was approached quickly on my arrival, which was nice, but that is where my positive experience ended with Matthew. It was immediately clear that he had no experience or training on the product that he was selling, and seemed uninterested with my questions or concerns; he was more interested in understanding if I was prepared to "buy today?" He brought me to his desk where we started talking about the new AWD 5 series, and he proceeded to wear a path in the carpet to and from the managers office once negotiations began; I asked if it would be easier for me to talk directly to his manager which seemed to confuse him . It's a shame as Greenwich used to be more of a boutique operation; it now reminds me of an auto mall on Route 17. We were unable to come to any kind of equitable agreement; they seem convinced that they can command a premium because they are in Greenwich CT, despite the ragtag appearance of their three car showroom. Avoid this group like the plague.
My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
AJ screwed up my order (delivered me a car with the wrong options) failed to activate the satellite system despite numerous requests and failed to turn in my plates on my old BMW lease which resulted in me being charged tax on a car I no longer possesed.

I would expect this from Kia, not BMW...

Forget them, I would never go to them again and they may have turned me away from getting another BMW...

My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
I've been there twice now, once for a Dinan suspension install and once for service.

The suspension install was completed quicky and they even returned the old components to me, at my request. All parts arrived at the dealership on time and they kept my install date.

On my second visit, I was taking the car in to be inspected after getting some bad body work done. The body shop was refusing to fix their mistake, saying it was fine. The service department inspected it for me and gave me a nice write up of the problem. George in service offered to stand up for me to the body shop if necessary. When I showed the body shop the service report and told them to call George, they agreed to pay for damages. Thanks George!!

Both times the staff was very friendly and gave me rides to and from the Greenwich Metro North station.

Top notch dealership.

My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
they are very courtesy people at competition. only complaint is that they left scratch marks on my trunk that i buffed out. not sure how well they treat cars... also weird how gas disappears and mileage accumulates on your car...things that make you go hmm

I leased a car from Competition & Sports cars. They offered the best pricing and the entire staff was friendly. My car was ready as promised with no last minute gottcha's. Overall an excellent experience. I have not used their service department yet however will post a follos up when I do.

My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
MIXED REVIEW

These guys did all the work they said they would, and they did it on time, and they did it under warranty.

HOWEVER, when I got home from the dealership, there were brown sticky splotches on both the rear driver's side seat and the front passenger side armrest. These splotches were not there when I turned in the car; I would have seen them when I cleaned out the car as I dropped it off.

Although I am satisfied with their service work, I am extremely disappointed by their lack of care in making my car presentable. Why was someone in the back seat or the passenger side anyway, and why didnt they clean up the mess they made?

I SEE THESE GUYS AT THE END OF THE DAY PULL OUT IN M5s AND COME BACK IN 5 MINUTES AFTER TOOLING AROUND THE STREETS OF GREENWICH, CHECK YOUR MILEAGE WHEN YOU TURN IN YOUR CAR!!!!! Just a warning to all of you out there who trust them with your vehicle. Like I said, this was a mixed review.

PS. after reading other posts, I see that they offer loaners. they never offered me a loaner, even after I asked if they had the shuttle operating to take me home, they still didn't offer me a loaner, and they had a few on the lot! I only realized they had them on the lot as I was waiting to be picked up right as they were closing and saw them parked around back. Unbelievable. As I have heard from others with much experience with this dealership (one of whom is good friends with the owner) "they aren't customer service oriented."

My Review of Competition & Sports Cars:
I have been treated horribly by the Service Dept because they believe i am "too young" to have a BMW. I have been met with condescending remarks on several occasions. I had a problem w/ my car and they refused to look into it saying going into the engine wasnt covered under warranty when, in this case, it clearly was. They had my car for 2 weeks and the invoice read that they worked on it for 1 hour, doing a diagnostics check.
I spoke w/ Bill whom i leased my 325Ci from about trading in a MBZ e430 and getting an M5. He blew me off, had a 10 minute phone conversation with a friend about his vacation in the middle of our meeting. when he finally got off the phone, i asked a question about some prices, then a well known frequent customer came into the store. Bill got up, left me without a word, and proceded to do buisness with Mr. Whittingham on his new M-roadster. I walked out. They may be a good dealer to do buisness with if your older but if you are under 21, i do not recommend doing business with them at all. They have not treated me with respect and I thought doing business about a $70k car would get their attention since Bill would be getting a nice little commision but i guess he doesnt care. I thought the General Manager of a BMW dealership would have a little more respect than that.
Also, i requested a loaner, drove all the way down there only to find that they will not give me one. i am old enough to lease a $35kcar from them but not old enough to drive a loaner.
