My Review of Cook Imports:
This is follow-up on the previous review:<br>Friday: 4:45 PM <br>Frank calls to tell me that the tire is done, the oil change is not done, the headlight washer is under investigation, the key will arrive from Germany on Monday, the sales department is investigating the price of a passenger air bag disabler. <br>Outcome: pick up the car on Monday.<br><br>this is day five (5) so you have to wonder how long it would take if something serious were to go wrong.<br><br>I really think these people need to establish a process to run parallel tasks, i.e., on Monday afternoon, I would have ordered the tire because regardless of what insurance said, the customer needs a tire. I would have ordered the key and if the parts department informed me of a 1 week delay, hell, i would have called the customer. i would have requested a price quote from the sales department on the airbag disabler. I would have initiated the service on the oil change, the defective headlight washer.<br><br>Now, if all this takes over 4.5 days of linear time, we have a problem.<br><br>Is anyone reading this site?<br><br>Have a nice weekend huh?<br>

My Review of Cook Imports:
I have a flat, call porsche service, they tell me that the car has to be towed in since the spare compartment up front will not hold the rear tire. the porsche service arrives, replaces the flat with the spare, attempts to fit the big flat into the front compartment and can't figure out why the hood will not close. He questions my warning, 'it won't fit, said the guy at porsche' but had to see it himself. Then he told me to stick the tire in the back of the 911. F-U I tell him. He throws the tire in the back of tow truck and speeds to Cook and drops it off. OK, I thought that was the worse.<br><br>NO.<br><br>Date: Monday, Oct 18th, 2:30 PM<br>I create a service order:<br>1. fix a key that never worked.<br>2. change the oil, although its only about 7k, do it.<br>3. fix the headlight washer that never worked. I discovered this late in the game but since I never use it, did not place high on priorities.<br>4. fix the flat under the easycare warranty. Yes, its worth it, get it.<br>5. quote the new front passenger seat air bag disabler.<br>I get a rental Nissan Stanza. Wahooo. but regardless of the insurance, get me a tire.<br><br>Tuesday, AM: no call.<br>Tuesday, PM at about end of business, I decide to call. Response was, 'to be honest, I was too busy, will check tomorrow.' he's referring to talking to his manager about how the easycare warranty works.<br>Wednesday, PM: I call about noon to check on status, leave a message. near end of business, get a call that the warranty on the tire is clear, tire won't be in until thu or fri.<br>thu PM: get a call end of business, tire may be in fri.<br>fri: 2pm still no word.<br><br>Now, I'm frustrated because I'm stuck driving a stanza and i'm frustrated because the tire was not ordered on monday. How can a porsche dealer not have a standard carrera tire in stock.<br><br>the guy is nice but that does not help me.<br><br>I'll write again after I see what happens.<br><br>Note: I used Fred Lavery in Birmingham, their sales people are idiots but their service is A1 top notch. They are in your face with updates on the hour. Call to tell you that you're hosed the rest of the day so take it easy. Call to tell you a part is in. Call to tell you that the car is done, now getting washed, come and get it. the service manager I dealt with was some lady that knew her stuff.
