My Review of Cormier Chevrolet/Hyundai:
I'm at my wits end with your service department and the vehicle you sold me. I've attempted to escalate my concerns within your service group and it has got me no where. I've also shared my concerns with a sales manager. All proven to be a waste of time. Your service department has exercised, incompetence, lack of sound judgment and negligence. On occasions your staff has been terse, unreasonable and rude. I'll elaborate on some instances below.
Soon after I took delivery of my 2006 Corvette I began to experience problems.
1) I received a service active handling error message on the vehicle instrument panel.
2) The cruise control failed to function.
3) The clutch would stick to the floor.
I scheduled an appointment and asked for a Corvette loaner car. The service advisor confirmed that he had me dialed in with the appointment and the loaner. When I arrived the service writer apologized, he said he had no Corvette loaner cars. I gave the keys to the service writer, he wrote up the ticket and placed the FOB on the center console in the vehicle, he exited the car and shut the door. I asked for the keys so i can get my wallet out of the car, the service writer couldn't open the doors because he locked my keys in the car. He then tried for a half an hour to call someone to do something to open the door. I simply couldn't wait any longer so I called my wife to leave work and bring the second set of keys. 30 minutes later my wife arrived and unlocked the car. In total it took me over an hour and a half to drop off my car.
I was told by Nick that he would call me when the roofs where in. Mind you, I can't drive my car during this time. A month and a half pass by and I receive no call. I call Nick and he said the roof was in we should schedule a time for you to drop the car off. I asked why wasn't i called? Nick said, we mailed out a letter to you saying the roof was in. I never received a letter. We schedule a time for the work to be completed I drop the car off and I'm told the roof was in but the "diff lube was now on backorder." I said, ok what does that mean? We cant fix the clunk noise from the rear end. This is a known problem from GM, but we're out of the fluid. Also, no Corvette loaner car. I told the service advisor, this was ridiculous for a 54 thousand dollar car. He said, I know. You paid for a 54 thousand dollar piece of shi*. I was absolutely shocked. Later that day, I called Nick to let him know what was said. He asked me for the advisors name, when i gave it to him Nick said, yea he's going over to dispatch. That was the end of that conversation.
The service i've received from Cormier is atrocious. I did not receive what I paid for and i have not been able to use and enjoy the car. It's to the point when I see the car I cringe at the thought of the slightest interaction with the Cormier service department. I feel as i've been ripped off. I wrote a check for the full asking price of the vehicle, this check was delivered in confidence that in the unlikely event when problems arose you will do what it takes to make things right. As it stands right now, I feel like I didn't receive what I paid for. Your lack of service has soured the joy of Corvette ownership. I believe the cost of service is wrapped into the cost of the vehicle. Which is why I asked to speak with a service rep before I purchased from you. I would not wish the experience I had with your service department on anyone. As a result of my experience, I will no longer be able to recommend your dealership to any of my friends, family and associates. Your dealership has managed to tarnish the GM name. I'm sure this letter will fall on deaf ears however, it's important to me that I voice my concerns.
