My Review of Corona Chevrolet/Oldsmobile:
I spoke with Yvonne Menke (internet sales) over the phone prior to visiting the dealership. I had done my research and was ready to purchase a 2-3 year old Pickup truck and new what I wanted. Over the phone I requested that the CARfax report be faxed to me so I could verify a clean title before driving out to corona (I live in Newport Beach, so it's a good 30 mile drive to the dealership). I was given the run around twice over the phone by Yvonne as to why the carfax couldn't be faxed, and I was pushed to "just come out and see the truck".
I finally decided to drive out to the dealership to look at the truck and to try and get the carfax report. I was ready to make a purchase that day. upon arriving at Corona, I looked at the vehicle and took it for a short test drive. Afterwards, I asked to see the carfax report as I wanted to verify a clean title, yet Yvonne said this was still not possible as the dealership would have to pay $ to get the report. She persuaded me to "come sit down and talk Numbers" before seeing the carfax report, which I thought was rediculous. I told them that I was ready to make a purchase - cash- and that I would not continue with any part of the process until they furnished a carfax report.
At this point in time, another gentleman, (clown in a cowboy hat) came over and tried to take over the sale. I explained to him I was still waiting to see a carfax report before I would move forward with anything. I also mentioned I had some other vehicles to check out that day and was going to making a purchase regardless of where it was. He told me at that point to go check out the other vehicles and come back. I left the dealership. I visited 2 other dealerships after corona Chevrolet, both of which furnished me with a carfax report immediately upon my request. I received a phone call later in the afternooon from yvonne asking me to come back to the dealership as they had a carfax report for me. In the end, I found the same model Chevrolet sivlerado 1500 a year newer for cheaper and made a purchase that day.
The 2 people I dealt with at Corona Chevrolet both were extremely unprofessional and unwilling to help me out as a customer. I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a car to consider Ostrom Chevrolet well before dealing with the circus at Corona Chevrolet.
