My Review of Danbury VW:
We recently purchased a second VW and worked with Steve who was diligent in following through on the sale, was really down to earth and receptive to our hesitations and concerns.

The sales manager and finance manager whose names escape me at the moment were also willing to do what it took to make a deal and we were able with some pre-dealership research to negotiate a GREAT price and GREAT financing rate. We love our New Passat and I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

My Review of Danbury VW:
I left an AWFUL dealership in Greenwich when I moved to Danbury area. I have generally had great experiences with this dealership, but there have been the occasional questions in mind. The service is pricey, but they do seem to know what they're doing, even if they do often try to upsell.

My car always come back clean, and when needing a large chunk of work my service rep was able to work with me a little bit on the pricing.

I told them the troubles I was having in Greenwich and what the reps there had told me and basically this dealership laughed at how ridiculous that was and rectified all of my problems (even at no cost to me by going through VW as an act of good faith!)

My only complaint is they did once tell me I needed to replace my brakes sooner than needed (my mechanic brother checked it out and told me there was wear, but not necessary to replace yet.)

My Review of Danbury VW:
Charged us for refilling windshield washer fluid even though it was full. Said it's a computer thing - need to ask them not to charge for it when you drop off the car. Several times did no do the service that was stated on the receipt. Came up with reasons why but still charged us for service not done. Did remove charge when questioned. When we asked what else wasn't done that we didn't catch - the weekend service manager said "if you don't trust us why do you come here?"

My Review of Danbury VW:
After getting a diagnosis that our old Golf would need an ECU and other expensive stuff (that was worth almost as much as the car) I brought it to Danbury for a second opinion. The mechanic discovered the ground connection on the O2 sensor was disconnected. He attached it and sent us on our way, no charge. Needless to say, I was pleased. The first dealer with the wrong diagnosis was in Stamford.

My Review of Danbury VW:
I have had to go to this dealership several times for different reasons and have had bad experiences every time. The first time I had an oil change at the time my owners manual stated. The manual also had a place for a stamp from the dealer to signify that they had done it. I asked them to stamp my book and they said no. I told them what the manual said and they replied they still wouldn't stamp my book. Trivial but that is the kind of service you can expect along with a long wait.

My Review of Danbury VW:
The salesman was great, but once I got to the finance person the experience was the worst I've had purchasing a car - PUSHY, PUSHY, PUSHY - I wanted to pay cash and she was really 'put out' that I didn't want to finance the vehicle - what happened to the 'customer is always right' - I purchased the vehicle else where I felt more at ease in dealing with the sales department
