My Review Of Mungenast St. Louis Honda:
After the first test drive of a Honda CRV, the customer service from this dealership was great. When we walked through the door that first day, we did not feel overwhelmed or pressured at all. We worked with Gina Bommarito during the whole process. The first day she asked us what we wanted in a new car and that is exactly what she provided us to test drive. This was great. In previous experiences, many dealerships will ask you the same question, but bring out a car that is thousands of dollars more with leather seats and special trim.
Not here, and my wife appreciated that very much. I also appreciated that she not only spoke with me (the man), but also included my wife (the bread winner) in the conversation as well.
The buying experience went well. Gina worked with us and I feel we got a fair price for our CRV. In the dealings we were supposed to have heated seats installed (after market). This was part of the reason we went with the CRV because we knew we could get the same on a Subaru Forrester. After my wife picked the car up from the install, she was told that they were only able to install the heating mechanism on the driver side seat. This about sent me over the edge because we had paid (and were promised) the heated seats.
To make a long story short, my wife called Gina the next day and explained to her what had happened. Gina apologized and spoke with her manager. Both were extremely apologetic and after a conversation with the installation company, explained that they (the dealership) were given the wrong information. Both the manager and Gina worked with us to right the wrong in a timely manner. They gave us the option to have our money returned to us (with a free heated seat) or bring the car back and upgrade to the next level for a minimal fee.
No one likes to be inconvenienced, but I feel like both Gina and the manager did an awesome job correcting the issue. In addition to this, there were various calls made to me, from Gina and various other representatives from the dealership, checking to make sure we were pleased and if we had any other questions.
I have worked in customer service for 10+ years and can say that Mungenast Honda does a great job in trying to accommodate and please their customers. I am generally unimpressed, as of late, with the customer service of most companies, but Mungenast Honda is setting a new standard.
