My Review of David McDavid Acura:
Tim is the internet sales manager and responded to a web inquiry about an MDX for me. He responded timely and invited me for an appointment. My issue is not with him in particular. I don't feel like David McDavid Acura does enough to make their CPOs enticing. I've visited on 2 separate occasions and the MDXs weren't cleaned and detailed to a level of perfection you'd expect from a licensed dealership. They were vacuumed but there were still papers and whatnot between the seats, too many superficial flaws in the paint (the kind of stuff a good car wash place could take care of for $100), and the CPO MDX I saw had a big scrape in one of the rims. I mean, this is an Acura dealer, why would they not replace that and then roll it into the price?

I had a deal on the table, including 500 dollar deposit, after which the dealership changed the deal (wouldn't take trade-in as described and wanted cash deposit in its place). Also, I told them up front I would be gone for Military TDY for several weeks, and would e able to pick up car at end of TDY, but dealership told me after I put deposit down that this arrnagement would not work and I ghad to have car delivered, with an extra cost. I told them I would be up to pick up car after TDY, they said they couldn't wait that long. The instead sold the car to another party halfway through my TDY and never refunded my deposit. It took 2 calls to get my deposit back and then it still took another week after they said they would return my deposit to get the credit placed on my CC. I would stay away form this dealership, they are after bottom line only and don't care who they go through to get it.

My Review of David McDavid Acura:
Acura makes great cars. This dealer doesn't support the manufacturers efforts. From sales to service, I feel like I'm at a Ford dealer. Even my local Honda dealer is better. People are cold and business like. I don't feel like they want my business--for the sale or the service. In fact, I feel sorry for the service reps. They seem to labor under poor management, at least that's the feeling I get. I love Acura, but with so few dealers, this might force me to consider Lexus next time.

This was the worst experience ever. They were telling lies about the other dealership and then doing exactly what they said other dealerships would do. They were very rude and upstuck and did not even want to take me on a test drive. The website www.acuramdx.org and edmunds.com have some bad comments about them in their bulletin boards.

Dealt with Sam who went over and above to answer all my questions on the new MDX. He was very knowledgable and knew the product. Additionally Sam was good enough to give me some specific measurements from mirror to mirror which I needed to deterrmine if the vehicle would fit in my garage. Additionally, Sam offered to bring the MDX to my home for a test drive and to make sure it fit in the garage to my satisfaction. Thanks Sam, you are aces!

My Review of David McDavid Acura:
Both the Sales floor and the Parts departments are very friendly and knowledgeable. The sales department was very helpful, not pushy at all, and was genuinely interested in making sure that we were going to get the car that was going to be best for us. If that was their car then that was great with them, but if not, they understood. They seem to be more interested in selling you the right car rather than just selling you a car and making you another number on the board of sales. I would gladly buy from this dealer again.
