My Review of Don Mackey Saab:
Have had both my previous Saab 9000 (not purchased from Don Mackey) and my Saab 9-5 (purchased from Don Mackey) service on a regular basis by Don Mackey. I have been extremely impressed with their work. They do not 'guess' and just replace parts but take the time to diagnose problems. Even when my 9-5 was 'out of warranty' Gary worked with me to get the repairs done as resonably as possible. Would definitely recomment their service based on my 7 years experience with them.

My Review of Don Mackey Saab:
Three service visits with my 2005 Saab 9/3 at the Dealership resulted in aggrevation and stress and promise that I will never buy a Saab again.
1. First visit 2005 - Oil change. Computer has not been reset. SID on the central console stopped working. It started again the next morning.
2. Second visit spring 2006 - problem with radio and climate console - button lighting was on and off during a day. Apparently no-one was able to tell me that Saab had a light sensor that causes console lights to go off... had to find it out on my own.
3. Third visit - late November 2006 - no heat. After dropping the car off advisor makes some dim-witted comment that it works I just needed to turn the knob back and forth a few times. Upsetting, but I let this one go. When I picked up the car the next day I have not notice that the tires were almost flat... I checked pressure that afternoon and it read about 10 psi instead of recommended 41 psi... after that tires are losing pressure constantly. Apparently something must have been done to them during the service as I have never experienced pressure loss before.

My Review of Don Mackey Saab:
This is a summary of my entire dealings with SAAB since May 31st, 2005.

After owning the vehicle for over 7 months now, I had a problem with the vehicle and went in to speak with/or find out who the GM was so that I could make an appointment with him to discuss my vehicle. GM Frank, I do not know his last name due to the fact that he was extremely rude. Karen Lazaro (sp?) was my sales person extremely nice lady but also misinformed me with what my benefits were with the vehicle. I was told that the vehicle came with a desert protection package for the interior leather, carpeting, and the exterior paint job. I'm have an extremely difficult time resolving this issue.

After being rear ended my car was in the shop (Don Mackey Collision Center) for three months being repaired. Upon completion of the work I noticed that the paint job was not done properly, to top it off when the vehicle was waxed and buffed someone at DMCC burned off the clear coat above both passenger doors. The top of the vehicle feels as if there isn't any clear coat or protectant, and after having it back in the shop to correct this situation; upon closer inspection on one passenger door there is about an inch square which does not have any paint on the vehicle, basically it's been burned down the the metal. The trunk lid hits the bumper of the vehicle and has a defect in it itself. From the trunk lid hitting the bumper and is scratching the paint off the bumper.

The vehicle is literally falling apart I had a flat tire and used the jack that came with the vehicle and followed directions as where to place it. This "jack pad" after one use broke off of the vehicle. The left passenger side door is not properly set and is now leaving indentions in the leather. The numbers on the stick shift broke off. I own a Black SAAB 9-3, and while it was in the shop it looks as the bumper and trunk lid were painted in the same area as a white vehicle as there is white over spray specks from bumber to bumber.

This list could suprisingly go on and on but if located in Tucson I would not recommend this dealership
