My Review of Downtown BMW:
I own a 2001 X5 that has been serviced by BMW and BMW only since I purchased it. I have had problems with this vehicle from the outset, although the rate of new problems has accelerated in the last 1-1.5 years, shortly after the vehicle came off of warranty.

I recently brought my vehicle in for a comprehensive 75,000 km service. Numerous additional problems were discovered and corrected at my expense.

Only a few weeks later, my pregnant wife and daughter were left stranded on the side of the highway due to a cooling system problem. The car was towed to BMW and repaired.

Last week, I was driving and ran into the same situation, ruining a saturday afternoon trip to our summer home. The vehicle was towed to BMW and the cooling system was re-repaired.

Being stranded at the side of the highway twice in a matter of a few weeks is not what i expect from a BMW with low mileage and a service record satisfied entirely by BMW.

It is not what i expect of the BMW brand, nor is my experience with the Toronto BMW service team and management consistent with the BMW brand.

I've decided to sell our vehicle and take our business elsewhere.

My Review of Downtown BMW:
I dont care if they have moved to a brand new $20M facility - the only time I had a smile on my face when I took possession of my new 330i. After that it was a horrow show - these guys in Service were horrible, arrogant, unfriendly morons. I have never had such bad experiences with a dealership ever in my life. I refuse to lay foot in the new facility due to the bitter taste left in my mouth with the prima donnas of downtown BMW.

My Review of Downtown BMW:
I bought 2 BMWs from them within 6 months and then my sales rep. left.
Sales manager took over and told me to "F*ck off, I'm busy selling 7-series" when I was inquiring on trading up.
Service dept. is a shambles. I stopped taking my car there for service. The destroyed my battery and not only did NOT pay for it, but made me pay full retail price to replace it. They told me that sometimes when they "touch" the battery, it can fail.
I contacted the new sales manager after a nice form letter and told him they have one chance to regain my business if they are willing to do something for me. Yeah, they quoted me retail on a car and gave me wholesale on my trade. I have never called back.

My Review of Downtown BMW:
My rep was great - he was very friendly and understanding. They even kept the dealership open for 2 hours after their closing time so I could take delivery of my car.

Unfortunately, while the sales department is top-notch, the service department is a disaster! They have about 5 bays...while there are 50 cars in there. Furthermore, the people at the service department are arrogant bit*hes.

Well, Downtown BMW is now moving to Toronto BMW (the new, corporately owned dealership). This will be the best, biggest and most prestigious dealership in all of Canada for BMWs. I highly recommend the sales guys, hopefully the service department problems would be fixed with this new building.

My Review of Downtown BMW:
I had some problems with my purchase here, service department seemed to be able to do what I need but their customer skills were lacking. Given that there are several better dealerships in Toronto, I'm staying away from this one.
