My Review of Earl Stewart Toyota of North Palm Beach:
Their internet sales department was easy to work with. (Note-I had already figured out what I wanted by visiting other dealers.) The price quotes were just under the www.edmund.com "true market value" prices. I was picky about the options/colors - so they didn't have what I wanted but they did find a car meeting my requirements on the gulf side of the state. With a little earnest money, they agreed to see if the gulf dealer would do a car swap and they added $200 to their sales quote. They got a commitment by that evening (or the next day) and the car arrived about a day later at which time I signed a purchase contract. I felt like the $200 increase was fair - I got what I wanted. The internet sales department took the tranaction up to the point of signing a purchase agreement. After that I was handed off to some finance person. Things went down hill from there. High pressure techniques to purchase an extended warrantee - no thank you! Finance terms were not market competitive with what I could have arranged with my bank. If I was doing it again, I would first get financing approved through my bank and then purchase the car. I would have been in a stronger negotiating posture. As was, I told them to forget their financing and paid cash.
Although I have not tried their service department yet, they are very proud of it. It is air conditioned (life is so good for the mechanics) and they have new owner get togethers to show off the facilities. They also offered a deal that seems to good to be true - so long as I do my service exclusively with them - they will replace wornout tires & battery for free so long as I own it. We will see!
