Service Advisors Need Work I traveled from New Jersey to Myrtle Beach during the first week of June. While driving, I noticed the rear end of my vehicle was making an unusual n I traveled from New Jersey to Myrtle Beach during the first week of June. While driving, I noticed the rear end of my vehicle was making an unusual noise at highway speeds. When I arrived in Myrtle Beach, I made an early next day appointment and took the vehicle to East Coast Honda to have them look into the issue and because I had a Honda Care Extended warranty. I dealt with service advisor Carole Edwards. I told Carole the issue with the rear end noise and told her to also fix the front driver side door weather strip that was falling off the door. Within a few hours, I had a video inspection of the vehicle done by mechanic Ricardo Taylor sent to my phone via Quik portal. A well documented inspection video was done by Ricardo! This was the ONLY good thing about the service at this place. Kuddos to Ricardo! I sent a text message to Carole via the Quik portal to contact me at her earliest convenience regarding my vehicle, as they were not answering their phones. Carole contacted me by phone and went over the situation saying that it was a bad wheel alignment, which caused the inner side of my tires to wear more than the rest of the tire causing the interior noise at highway speeds. Eventually the tires would have been replaced down the road and the alignment would need to be fixed. Carole went over some other items that could be addressed (cabin air filter, engine air filter). I told her to hold off on the filters, the alignment and replace the weather strip falling off for now. Carole advised me that it wouldn't be a problem and that she will place the order for the part to be delivered the next day. She estimated the part to be about $50 plus installation if the part was not covered under the extended warranty. Told her no worries, just replace the weather strip and let me know when the vehicle is finished. The following afternoon I sent a message on the Quik portal inquiring the status of the vehicle. Carole quickly replied back saying the vehicle was ready for pickup. In the text message, I had asked what the total bill and she replied $207.67 ($65 diagnostic fee, plus weather strip part, plus installation). Arrived at the dealer an hour later and noticed my invoice bill was $65.00. Another service advisor was kind enough to go over the invoice and it appeared on the invoice and the way that he read it was, that the weather strip was apparently covered under the extended warranty? Ok sounds good, paid the $65.00, got the keys to my car. I opened the driver door and the weather strip fell off the car. Went right back in and saw Carole, told her the car wasn't fixed and the weather strip was still falling off. Her response, "I didn't order the part." But you told me that car was ready and sent me a text message with a $200 invoice?? That makes no sense at all. "I can order the part, but it's going to take a few days." Again, thats not what you told me over the phone yesterday. So I left disappointed regarding the overall service, but relieved that I left only paying $65.00 for a diagnostic fee to figure out the real problem of the vehicle. Took the vehicle to a local tire shop in Myrtle Beach and had the alignment done at a reasonable cost over dealer cost. More

He presented himself as very knowledgeable in the Honda products as well as his delivery of fulfilling my needs as we discussed different options. Having experienced the great service coming from the service department over the past 9 years I now feel that Jay is a perfect fit in the East Coast Honda company.. If given the opportunity I will certainly recommend East Coast Honda and Jon Molnar to my friends and family!!!! More

I sat there two and a half hours try seeing somebody else and they told me you have to go through the service desk again two and a half hours and I need another appointment to people told me you're good to go!! More

Never felt rushed or pressured. When I went back to pick up the car Phillip once again reviewed the electronics and safety issues. Thank you Phil More

Chris was an absolute pleasure to deal with; personable, knowledgeable, was understanding of my needs while helping to stay within budget, and actually quite a funny guy! :0) Once we made the deal, Andrew processed the paperwork while car was being detailed and oh my gosh~the process was just so easy peasy! On a Sunday morning, I started to research vehicles and decided we wanted to look at a Honda Civic. I contacted Carolina Duncan and she immediately got me the info I requested on 2 vehicles. We stopped by the dealership on monday morning right when they opened and she showed us the 2 Honda Civics. Later that evening, we brought our son to test drive the vehicle and made the purchase. This was a very positive experience. Some car salespeople are pushy and make the experience stressful. Carolina put us at ease and we left happy with a great deal on a new car. Great job! Also, when we went into the finance office, Andrew Moruzzi was friendly and not pushy like we have experience at other dealerships. We usually feel "beat up" coming out of that part of the car buying process but Andrew NEVER made us feel that way. Great experience! More
