My Review of Eastside Chrysler Jeep:
Really poor sales service, and marginal management service.

For me the process should have been easy because I am employed by a supplier to most auto manufacturers, including Chrysler, and only wanted a lease, so there is essentially no haggling needed and the price is set. The car was not properly prepared for delivery and the Finance Department printed several versions of the same financing paperwork with conflicting figures (but they did finally get it corrected promptly while I was there).

My salesperson, Kelli Jackson, did not deliver the vehicle properly and refused to provide some parts that belonged with the vehicle at delivery. She stated that she would mail the parts to me because the dealership was not very convenient for me to return to, and basically she couldn’t find it then. After several weeks, she refused to return several messages and I was forced to contact Luk Blackwell, the General Manager. Although Luk looked into the situation, he also would not mail me what was missing from the vehicle and would not let Kelli or any of his staff deliver them to me. During the sale Kelli was also trying to rush me out because she admittedly had a better place to be, even though they had close to six hours to prepare the vehicle. Luk offered me a free oil change, but if they can’t deliver what comes with the vehicle, why would I like them touch the car again?

So this is not about price or the negotiating process. The salesperson made commitments she knew she couldn’t deliver, ignored messages and refused to correct the situation, and the General Manager covered for her incompetence.

My Review of Eastside Chrysler Jeep:
Beware of trying (no, forcing) you to agree to work that is neither required by the warranty nor needed, such as changing the power steering fluid at 30k. Then we had insult added to injury when the brake job we did want was botched, brake light came on in a few days, fluid all over wheel and tire and master cylinder empty. Took back and mech noted he tightened loose bolts, refilled and bled. Loose bolts on the brakes, nice. No apology or anything given.

My Review of Eastside Chrysler Jeep:
I read the article on &quot;Confessions of a car salesman&quot; on Edmunds.com and realized shamefully it applied to my purchase of my Jeep in Eastside chrysler jeep. I feel ripped off in every respect. I wish I had read the article before the purchase. Although the original price for the car was around 22k the final price came to around 28k<br>The following are some of the ways they ripped me off<br>1. They convinced me that I had to get the rust and upholstery protection that set me back by around $800. Later I learned that the upholstery protection does not mean they will remove any stains<br>2. They talked me into buying extended warranty. I later realized that within the extended warranty they had quietly chosen the most expensive option with zero deductible. I am really ticked off that he did not describe what the different options are for the extended warranty. The manager told me that I will be able to easily transfer the extended warranty and it covers bumper to bumper against any damage. Later after reading the fine print I realized that it does not cover most things. Even though there is a warranty corporation the decision making is in the hands of the dealer if I wished to cancel the warranty. There are many conditions to transfer the warranty along with a $100 fee for the transfer none of which were elaborated. The manager told me I could cancel the warranty at any time and get the prorated amount. However according to the fine print it can only be done in the first 30 days. <br><br>I have utterly lost confidence in car dealers. I will take my chances buying a used car from a private party rather step into a dealer lot again <br><br><br><br>
