My Review of Empire Hyundai:
I bought a new car there about 18 months ago; last week I got a call to come in and get 80% of what I paid towards a new vehicle, but to ask for Joe only. Why?, Joe just shakes your hand and gives you a salesman. Karim was courteous and couldn't help me because of my credit/money owed, etc. The joke is every new vehicle is marked up $4995 over the sticker price, making any deal suck. They call it a market adjustment and include a 1000 mile complete vehicle check-up; WOW !!! You have to be nuts to pay extra for a new car when other dealers are offering discounts. STAY AWAY FROM EMPIRE UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO BURN !!!

My Review of Empire Hyundai:
I started my search for a used car for my wife at Empire Hyundai because it was just across the street from where she works. Jamie Dupre showed my wife a 2003 Hyundai XG350 she liked. My wife asked for a price and this was when Steve Pratt started helping Jamie. I told Steve I only wanted a price at that time because we were just starting our search and I wanted to research the car. That is when the pressure started for a deposit. My wife shot him what I thought was a low number that they would not go for and Steve had to get his manager involved. They agreed to the price so I left a small deposit of $50 and told them I was going to research the car and sleep on it. In the process of researching the car I found Empire Hyundai had it on their web site for $1,100 less than our agreed price. When my wife went back in the morning to test drive the car she addressed the price shown on the site only to find out we did not read the fine print saying the price is assuming you have a $3,500 trade in. This is what I would consider a very misleading way of getting someone in to look at a car and should have been the flag for me to walk away. My wife test drove the car and liked it very much. The price was very good and the last step was to send it to my mechanic. We made an appointment to bring the car to the mechanic in the morning. The following morning my wife found out the car was sold to the first person who put a deposit on it. They did say they had a 2004 they would give us for the same price and needed to pick it up. When my wife retuned to test drive the car they pressured her into leaving a $3,000 deposit and the car was $500 more. She also asked about Jamie and found out that he was fired. Jamie was the only one we felt was honest. Steve and his manager were the individuals who pressured us into putting a deposit on a car that was already sold, not Jamie. My wife left the deposit and rescheduled the appointment with the mechanic. My wife felt uncomfortable the whole time dealing with them and decided she did not want to deal with such dishonest people, so she retuned to get her deposit. That is when the Empire staff became very rude and tried to tell her that they could not give her the deposit back. She did get the deposit back but had to experience all the abuse and pressure tactics. I would never purchase anything from this dealer no matter what the price.

My Review of Empire Hyundai:
I bought a brand new 2008 Hyundai Elantra from Empire Hyundai in Fall River, The buying process was very smooth. I shopped several different Hyundai Dealers, and Empire Hyundai was by far the most courteous, polite, and professional out of all of them and also was the lowest priced.. Will be purchasing my next vehicle from them, and also getting all my service done as well there. Referred 3 family members as well, and all there responses are the same... Empire Hyundai #1!!!!

My Review of Empire Hyundai:
BEWARE!!! this was the most horrible experience I ever encounter in my time of buying an automobile .. first of all, I came to empire on an ad from the paper that was not adequate in no form or fashion.. I was trying to purchase an 08 Elantra that was in the paper for $6,488 . I was told by the salesperson (Steve Pratt) and the manager (Mike Sewall) that the automobile was gonna cost me 17,000 and the automobile that was in the paper was sold. I asked to see the car because they said that it had been sold the day before it was there and there was no marking of any sort to let you know that the car was SOLD. The salesperson (Steve Pratt) then said he was going to pull up another 08' Elantra so when I was waiting, still next to the "SOLD NEWS PAPER." I then asked two sales-men walking by if this was the car in the paper they said, "Yes." I then asked if was sold THEY BOTH SAID, "No." When my salesperson came back (Steve Pratt) with the 08' Elantra I asked him one more time, "Is this car really sold?" The salesperson said, "Yes it is, how many more times are you going to ask?" I couldn't believe it, that was my answer. My question back to the salesperson (Steve Pratt) was then why did those two salespeople say that the 08' Elantra from the paper was not sold? The salesperson (Steve Pratt) had no answer for me so I told him I was leaving because I do not like being lied to. So you think that would be the end of it but no. The salesperson (Steve Pratt) and manager (Mike Sewall) both chased me in my car as I was trying to leave by yelling, "Would you buy the 08' Elantra for $14,500....No? what about $14,000...." and so on. It was the most horrible experience I ever encounter in my life-time of buying an automobile
