My Review of Fairfax honda:
On March 1, 2008, my wife and I went to Rosenthal Honda Fairfax, 11020 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA. We traded in our Honda Civic for a 2005 Honda CRV, CERTIFIED USED. They showed us the Carfax History Report & everything seemed great. (Sales person: Jesse Annis)
I put $4000.00 down and drove away in my "new" Certified Used Honda.
Easter Sunday, March 23, the car broke down. It was towed to the dealership Monday morning. The mechanics could not find anything wrong with it.
On Friday, July 11, the car broke down again.
We decided to trade it in and get a brand new car.
Well, that is when we found out (through 2 different dealerships - Mazda, Fairfax and Carmax, Dulles) that the vehicle has FRAME DAMAGE because it was in an accident. Now the vehicle is worth $6200.00 LESS than what I paid for it (Paid: 17,700. Now worth 11,500).
I called the Sales Manager, David Perrin. He lacks the appropriate skills, in my opinion, to deal with customers. He was condescending and rude. When I explained that the vehicle had frame damage, he was snide and sarcastic about the specific terminology of the Honda CRV frame.
If the Rosenthal Honda Fairfax cannot determine that a Certified Used vehicle has been in an accident, or if they deliberately misled their customers, they should rethink what should be considered Certified Used.
We contacted the General Manager, Cary Schwab, the Assistant General Manager, Bridget Wang - but neither would return our calls/inquiries.
We've contacted the Better Business Bureau (Although, upon doing research, Honda Fairfax dealership is familiar with complaints. There have been 15 in the last 36 months/6 in the last 12 months.) and ABC7 on Your Side, to request an investigation.
