My Review of Fairgrounds Chevrolet Inc:
I was shopping for a new SUV, and interested in a Suburban. I went to Fairway Chevrolet. When I got to the front door, there it was: a prominent "No guns allowed" sign. I do not carry a gun. However, I am a firm believer in non-discrimination. If that sign had said "No black allowed" or "No Chinese allowed" or "No women allowed" --the hounds of hell would have been all over this dealership.

I stepped inside and told the salesperson who walked over why I had come there. Then I asked why the sign was up. I was told because the Missouri car dealers association wanted the signs up in dealerships. I do not believe an association has the right to dictate to a member about such discrimination. I think the owner of this Chevrolet dealership wants the sign up.

I said, "You have lost a sale," and I left. I do not patronize businesses that have these "No guns allowed" signs - just as I would not patronize any business that discriminates.

"We don't want your kind here" is not acceptable in the United States of America.
