My Review of Family Toyota:
Letter to Toyota Headquarters
On April 26, 2007 I went to Toyota of San Juan Capistrano to purchase a New Tundra CrewMax.
I met Norm Svikss the salesman for Toyota San Juan Capistrano; we found a CrewMax and negotiated a deal.
I met with Freddie the salesman’s manager; he was in the negotiations along with the sales manager. We reached an agreed price for the Tundra, then they told me that the Tundra was sold to another person and that was the only one they had at the dealership.
I told them the deal was off and I was going to another dealer that had my second choice.
Both Managers assured me that they had another one coming in the next day Friday or Saturday, I told them that I could not wait because I had a buyer for my other truck and I was going to Toyota Carlsbad, again both managers told me I had nothing to worry about and if the Tundra did not come in they would give me something to drive until it did come in, I took them at their word and gave them 5,000.00 deposit to secure the Tundra.
Friday April 27, 2007 I called Norm Svikss my salesman at San Juan for a progress update, he told me he was with another customer and he would call me back when he was finished, in the meantime I sold my Tacoma to the other person because of the agreement with Toyota of San Juan Capistrano, 3 hours later Freddie from San Juan called me and told me he did not have my Tundra and he would not have one until June or July, I informed him of our agreement and I was without a vehicle.
I asked for the loaner vehicle I was promised, Freddie said he would call me back, that was Friday night it is Monday and I still haven’t heard from anybody at Toyota San Juan or seen my 5,000.00 deposit.
I have purchase 6 Toyotas over the last 20 years and have never ever been treated this way at any other dealership. I thought you should know what kind of people you have at San Juan Toyota representing your company.
